The Extra Shift

Chris checks in with Brendon in Iceland bringing you another edition of the extra shift! We talk ll things #NHL including Yzerman's bombshell, the Habs addressing "culture" by trading more leadership, and the latest weirdness from Ottawa, complete with awkward Melnyk interview.

Still no major NHL news - But Chris and Brendon dip into what Karlsson news they do have. They also talk the leafs new hires, before going back to 1997 to talk Thornton, Marleau, Hossa and 90's Bob Mckenzie.

Chris and Brendon return, unlike it seems all NHL General Managers, to talk all of the nothing happening in the NHL. They talk farce at the Hilinka-Gretzky, Dart Guy scouting, before turning their focus on the 2009 NHL Entry draft. Will Tavares still go first? Yes. But the rest is interesting!

Chris and Brendon are back to talk about the world of nothing that's happening in NHL land. We talk Jeff Skinner agreeing to go to Buffalo, RFA signings and why the Sens always lose, and then we redraft the remaining UFA's. Plus it's Brendon's birthday!

Chris and Brendan return to talk all the big news in the NHL like....well, did you know Tom Wilson got paid? Then they break down the 2006 draft, before doing their own redraft.

Chris and Brendon return for their latest in the redrafting series. They talk trade talks, the Yakupov vs Murray debate and how teams made the right calls, but with the wrong picks.

Chris and Brendon return and it's the off season. We have no new information about Karlsson, we have some news about Tampa making contract moves, and we have all the news about the 2013 NHL entry draft, as we revisit the Canucks trade with the Devils and redraft the first round.

Chris and Brendon are back and they are talking Karlsson rumours and rounding up free agency moves. Then, with apologies to the amazing Around the NFL podcast, they embark on a rip off... we mean homage to their awesome "You're the GM" segment, complete with horrible accents and a way too young sounding Rangers GM. A fun time is had by all!

Chris and Brendon return to talk free agency! We discuss the Tavares sweepstakes, talk about who overpaid and who genuinely improved, and run through who needed to do a lot more!

In this Episode, Chris and Brendon discuss the NHL draft, recap the Hoffman trade, and dive into the Tavares sweepstakes and just what a Toronto pitch might sound like.
