In this episode Sophie meets with Peter to discuss the next part of the Lord’s Prayer, “your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” We talk through questions around the timing of God’s coming Kingdom. We discuss whether our focus should be on the spread of God’s rule in the hearts of people on earth now, or on the future new creation. We think through practically what it looks like to know God’s will for our lives, and we also think about what prayer looks like for those who were alive before Jesus died and rose again.

This week I chat with Pip about the first request in the Lord’s Prayer, “hallowed be your name”. We discuss what it looks like to glorify God or ‘hallow’ his name in evangelism and everyday conversations. Pip talks about different responses to books like “The God Delusion” by Richard Dawkins.

In this episode our new host Sophie, discusses with Peter the first few words of the Lord’s prayer – ‘Our Father, in Heaven’. This is the first part of our new sermon series on the Lord’s Prayer. They talk through questions such as, who are we praying to when we pray? Can unbelievers pray to ‘our Father’? And how should we think about liturgy and set phrases that we say together as Christians?

On Sunday September 24, we had the great joy at St Paul's of celebrating the baptism of three babies at our Carlingford Morning Church. With all the kids in the service that morning, Peter Baker and Josh Everett helped us understand Jesus's story of two sons in Matthew 21. It was great!
