For the followers of Jesus "the heart" is a very important topic; it is obvious from the amount of times it is mentioned in the Bible. King Solomon understood this very important principle, thats why he is given instruction to God's children to guard their heart above all else. As a healthy heart is essential to the physical life on earth, the spiritual heart determines both the character of life on earth as well as the destiny of life after physical death.

King David, despite the many serious issues he struggled with in life, learned that the most desirable and meaningful place to be was in God's presence, where he would find the strength and spiritual stamina he needed to overcome those trying situations.
