A New Season for the Faith Filled Entrepreneur Podcast

Welcome back! After a season of change, I'm excited to officially relaunch the Faith Filled Entrepreneur Podcast with a renewed vision and purpose.

In this episode, I'm sharing the story behind where God has been leading me over the past few years—from education and business coaching to real estate investing, unexpected setbacks, and ultimately, the launch of the Faith Filled Entrepreneur movement.

This isn't just a podcast about business.

It's about learning to know God more deeply, trusting Him in every season, and stewarding the businesses He's entrusted to us.

In this episode, we talk about:

• My journey from teacher to education consultant, business coach, and real estate investor.
• Why I felt God calling me to lay down parts of my identity in order to fully surrender to Him.

Hi friends. At the time that this podcast is going is live, it is a few days after the election. However, at the time I’m writing it, the election has not yet happened. I early voted, and I told my family that voting kind of shifted by mindset from thinking about the election to thinking about what happens after the election.

And the conclusion I’ve come to is that in a few days, things are going to change - one way or the other. But the truth that surrounds our next steps actually stays the same. And no matter who is president right now, friend, we have some work to do.

Why We Need It and How We Read It

Hi friends. Election time is upon us, and if you’re like me, negative emotions are swirling. I find myself regularly having to guard my heart against social media, intentionally seek out truth and unbias-ness, renew my mind from worry and fear of the future, and even guard my mind against anger and frustration, and if I’m being honest, judgment of the quote/unquote - other side. 

Time and time again, Jesus calls us to unify as believers. From where I’m sitting, the current political climate is one of the most divisive things among Christians that I’ve ever seen in my lifetime.

So, this episode is going to be a little different (and it’s probably not going to go the direction you think it’s going to go), but I think we need to talk about it.

Does it ever feel like life throws you one challenge after another. It can be so hard to walk in faith during those times. Jill Corey Miller, found of Teacher Be Still  and Jill Corey Miller Marketing, is a source of wisdom and inspiration as she has walked through some of the toughest challenges in life, a primary one being the 20 year marriage to her beloved husband, John. John is actively working on his recovery through alcoholism, and they use this testimony to spread hope and healing to others.

In this episode, we dive into the very real battle with the enemy. 

I can’t help but think that so many problems in our society today - even problems that we’ve normalized are actually strategies of the devil - and just like in my language example, if we fought those problems with spiritual weapons, we’d have a lot better shot than we do when we try to fight them with earthly weapons.

So let’s talk about these strategies. We know that Satan is the Father of Lies - so his number 1 strategy is to lie to you. What does he lie to you about.

1. Who God is.
2. Who you are to God.
3. Who you are as a person.

Prepared for Breakthrough 

In this episode, we are using the story of Jesus and Peter in the boat in Luke 5. Jesus tells Peter to go back out, and Peter catches so many fish he has to call his friends to come help. But that wasn't the end of the story- the goal wasn't a successful fishing trip, it was to test Peter's obedience, show Jesus' power, and call Peter to be his disciple.

We may be praying for more fish, but we can't become so focused on the fish that we miss the bigger the purpose!

Why would you want more responsibility? Let me give you a few reasons - 

1. You were created for a purpose. Therefore, if you are not operating fully in that purpose, although you may be comfortable, you will not have a peacefulness in your soul. Because God will continue to pursue.
2. You were given spiritual gifts to have an impact on the Kingdom. You have the ability to help, guide, and even show the love of Jesus to someone. You can bring the hope of Christ through your giving, your love, your availability - you have no idea the impact you can have on this world when you are open to Christ using you in a powerful way.
3. We have the amazing privilege of receiving our inheritance through Christ, through nothing we can do on our own except believe that Jesus is Lord and Savior. That is amazing. And God gives good gifts to his children because of his unconditional love. However, we know that obedience pleases God. We also know that jesus said, “If you love me, obey my commands” John 14:15

In Hebrews 11:6 - “And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.”

It’s your choice, friend. I will say this - I feel very strongly that revival is coming, and that the revival fire will be heavily flamed by business. Where we put our money and our influence matters. Who we help, how we serve, what we say - it all matters to the Kingdom and it matters as to how God will use us for bigger things.
