In this study, we'll examine one of the most controversial verses in the Bible and trace it to its origins in Genesis 3. We'll also reveal how Satan continues to target women using the same tactic he used on Eve in the Garden of Eden, and how we can protect ourselves from similar deceptions.
SMALL GROUP QUESTIONS:
Do you agree or disagree that, in general, women have a greater susceptibility to spiritual deception? If not, what do you believe Paul means in 1 Timothy 2:12-14?
What should Adam have done when Eve approached him with the forbidden fruit?
What might a husband fulfilling his calling to protect his wife from spiritual deception look like today?
A question specifically for the women in the group: What do you believe are the most popular and effective lies Satan tells women in today’s culture?
What are some constructive ways that women's desire for 'special knowledge' can be channeled positively within biblical boundaries so that it blesses marriages, families, and churches?
In theory and practice, how receptive are you to the idea that you have “blind spots” you cannot see without the help of your spouse and/or brothers and sisters in Christ?
