Parenting can be deeply rewarding, but also intensely draining. In our efforts to be present and patient with our children, it's easy for our own spiritual reservoirs to run dry, and if that happens, we risk spiritual burnout - that sense of depletion is where we feel disconnected from our deeper purpose. To avoid this, we parents must prioritize our spiritual self-care, whether through meditation, journaling, time in nature, or any practice that reconnects us with God. Doing so grants us the strength, wisdom, and calm needed to maintain harmony in our homes and model spiritual well-being for our children.
Micah Williams, the Preaching Minister at 7th and Mueller Church of Christ in Paragould, AR talks with us about what spiritual burnout may look like, how we can better understand it, and things we can do to battle it.
