We have been talking about the deadly trap of misappropriating your loyalty to people, places, and things. This absolute support or allegiance has the ability to hinder our very God from speaking and leading you to your place of victory and freedom. Loyalty speaks for us, acts for us, and dictates our course of direction. We learned in the previous weeks that Jesus according to Hebrews 7:20-28 is the only One that can guarantee an eternal covenant. Tonight, we are going to focus our loyalty to the One who gives freedom and guarantees victory, and HIS name is JESUS!

Loyalty to people, places or things is a false sense of honor, faithfulness, and dedication. The only thing that requires and can retain our loyalty is God. Loyalty is an absolute support or allegiance to something. It is spiritual because it has the ability to stop God himself from operating in your life. Unfortunately, we have taken this thing God created for Himself
and we misappropriated towards people, places, things, etc. This thing is so powerful it controls our actions, minds, who we love, who we are nice to, who we respect, what we do, how we do it, when we do it, where we go, whether to trust God, etc. IT CONTROLS EVERYTHING ABOUT US!

Last week we talked about how loyalty manifest, the effects of it and how it traps you. Loyalty is a strong feeling of support or allegiance. We have been brought up into thinking loyalty to people and things is good. Not realizing that what your loyalty is rooted in will cause you to act a certain way, love a certain way, and even be controlled a certain way. Tonight we are going to understand what loyalty is rooted in and its characteristics.

We have learned that everyone must face and make it through a wilderness experience. During this time God will make a demand of you to fulfill your purpose separated from all your crutches and excuses. Today we will continue to discover the four tests that Jesus faced and passed that everyone must face in their wilderness causing them to answer this question; If my shortcuts really work, why has it taken me so long?!!!!

However, that may sound good if it relates to your family, friends, job, even your church. However, there are many effects to our loyalty being tied to the wrong thing. When the Lord saved Israel and led them into the wilderness it was to test and transition them for the next step in their journey with God. Jesus himself was led and spent 40 days in the wilderness being tempted and tested by Satan. God uses the wilderness experience to literally kill the, “I need a substitute; taste buds out of our mouths. When that happens, it
causes us to grow deeper in love, and it causes every test to be an exercise of victory. We will continue to discover the four tests that Jesus faced and passed that everyone must face in their wilderness experience removing all excuses. Today we will expose and break the performance
trap!

Transition is defined by Webster's Dictionary as the period of passing from one condition, form, stage, activity, place, to another. Today we will continue to discover that it’s time to come out of your wilderness and transition into the Reign of life that God promised! We will continue to discover that the key to make it out of your wilderness experience is to get a view from the end zone!

Have you ever experienced a time in your life of anguish and defeat, that brought you to your knees? Paul describes his experience where Satan waged an attack against his life and purpose that caused him to cry out to God to remove the source of his torment. God’s response was and always will be the same, don’t quit when all else seems to fail, because there is Power! Today we will begin to understand that God had a plan even before you failed, to the point that God uses your failure to reveal his power. Today let us begin to discover that There’s Power! When all else fails!
