Jade's not excited for her 15th birthday because Royalle can't come. She decides to make it a masquerade party so that she can sneak in Royale but he decides to respect her parent's decision because of his principles. Her parents force Jade to go through with the party. Moz and Cocoa have their own problems to deal with as they find out they are in financial stress. Shaka is still not forgiving Elvis and wants Mazzi to stop being his friend but when Mazzi refuses Shaka becomes friends with Braelyn, Mazzi's rival to get back at him. When Moz and Cocoa catches Royale at the party, they kick him out and we end with Jade leaving a note for her parents telling them she ran away with Royale.

Moz gets offered the chance to guest host on a popular sports show, but he gets kicked to the side by M'Dear and her bonding with Charlie and Miles. When Charlie and Miles invite M'Dear back and not Moz he does feel like she took his job. But when Charles and Miles tries to embarrass Moz, M'Dear throws a pie in his face. Shaka reads Jade's diary to get dirt on him and finds out she is sneaking out to see Royale. With the help of Elvis Jade is able to turn the tables on Shaka but when they try to make a deal Cocoa overhears and grounds them both. Moz gets invited back to guest host.

Shaka and Elvis have a run in with Bruce and his Last Dragons and after Shaka shows his skill in the sport, he is invited to join the class. After his first sparring sessions goes wrong, Shaka is ready to give up, but Grandpa Jeb who also happens to have been a partner in opening the dojo convinces him that just because he was knocked down, doesn't mean he should quit. He tells him it doens't matter how many times you get knocked down just as long as you get back up and if he really wants to quit after he gave it his all then Jeb would understand. Meanwhile, Jade ups her babysitting gigs to get money for her Childish Gambino tickets but learns she took off more than she could chew and needs M'Dear to rescue her. Mason who is played by Tia's actual son Cree and Ami learn to celebrate the things they like about each other than what might annoy them about each other. Even though Shaka doesn't win his rematch with Bruce he does get not only his respect but his grandfather's original Last Dragon jacket.

Episode 15 "Remember When Jade Was Down With The Swirl" Jade's new liking to chemistry is just because of the subject, but because of her new chemistry partner Cody, who also happens to be white. She not only gets negative comments from M'Dear but from her peers as well about what she and Cody are. It makes her doubt herself and her feelings that she turns down his date, but Cocoa helps her realize her truth and that if she likes Cody, then nobody else's opinions matter and even though she humiliates herself she learns a good lesson. While Mazzi and Moz competes against Moz's old enemy Gary and his son, and have to remember it doesn't matter what trash talks is coming your way, that your game will always be the best comeback to others negative energy.

It's time for Cocoa and Moz big re-wedding! Daniel really wants to be Moz's best man but when Moz tells him that Shaka is the best man, he compromises by saying that he and Shaka can be the best man. Moz gives Shaka the responsibility of keeping the rings until the wedding. Cocoa really wants to look perfect on her wedding day, so she gives herself a risky diet plan to reach her goals. When Cocoa's mom comes for the wedding she makes it even harder on her by the comment she continues to make about Cocoa's weight. Shaka and Mazzi get manipulated into trading his mom's engagement ring for a fake one and Daniel sacrifices his late grandfather's watch so that Moz doesn't find out that Shaka was swindled. Grandpa saves the day and gets the watch back for Daniel. After Cocoa faints from her diet, she realizes with the help of Moz that he knows she's perfect just that way she is. She also confronts her mother about her treatment of her by her comments and how she has made her feel her whole life and it's a eye opening for her mom and once Cocoa forgives her, Glamma Daphne gives Cocoa to Moz and they end up jumping the broom.
