Zhane is captured, and a desperate rescue attempt leads to a brutal battle where the Rangers are nearly defeated before being mysteriously teleported away. Frustrated by their interrupted victory, the Psychos are kept in check by Astronema, who reveals her hidden agenda: to use them to eliminate both the Power Rangers and Dark Specter, seizing control for herself. The Rangers desperately try to destroy the asteroid with their Mega Lasers and detonators, but fail. Karone proposes a risky plan to sneak onto the Dark Fortress and reprogram the asteroid. Disguised as Astronema, she is caught by the newly cyborg Ecliptor. With time running out, the Rangers receive a plea from Earth and decide to use all three of their Megazords in a final attempt to push the asteroid away, while on Earth, Bulk, Skull and Phenomenus steal a spacecraft to escape the asteroid. Meanwhile, Bulk, Skull, and Professor Phenomenus's comedic detour leads them back to Angel Grove, where the Rangers save them from Frightwing. Zhane then introduces the Winged Mega Voyager, allowing the Rangers to destroy Frightwing. The episode concludes with Darkonda's ominous warning to Astronema and Andros's vow to rescue Karone.
