In "The Great Evilyzer," Professor Phenomenus' invention, designed to instill attitudes into objects, falls into the hands of Astronema, who plans to turn the Power Rangers evil. Her initial attempts involve corrupting a Galaxy Glider, but her larger scheme focuses on the newly completed Delta Megazord. Meanwhile, Astronema unleashes Destructipede and several other monsters on Angel Grove, forcing the Rangers to summon the Delta Megazord for the first time. However, Astronema uses the Evilyzer to turn the Delta Megazord against the Rangers, leading to a battle between the Astro Megazord and the corrupted Delta Megazord. Ultimately, the Rangers use a special code to revert the Delta Megazord to normal, and the two Megazords combine to form the Astro Delta Megazord, which they use to defeat Destructipede and the other monsters, destroying the Evilyzer in the process. In "The Delta Discovery," the Power Rangers learn of Zordon's capture by Divatox and her forces on Hercuron, thanks to a message from the returning Phantom Ranger. The Rangers race to the planet, where they briefly assist the Phantom Ranger, who is fighting Astronema and her forces. However, they are unable to rescue Zordon. The Rangers return to Earth to fight Crocovile, a monster sent by Astronema. While the Astro Megazord struggles, Andros ventures to a secret location to activate the powerful Delta Megaship. He ultimately succeeds, transforming it into the Delta Megazord, which helps the Rangers defeat Crocovile.
