Game Previews :  Phoenix Rising (Twitter: @PHXRisingFC) travel to Oakland on July 27 to take on Oakland Roots.  Aaron Lawson from Roots Pod is with us to talk about the team and what to expect.   Later on in the week Phoenix Rising FC host Colorado Springs Switchbacks - it's hard to know what to expect from this game as Colorado seem to be on a rollercoaster ride as far as Wins and Losses!

Welcome to THE FAN EXPERIENCE, A Phoenix Rising FC Supporters Podcast - Episode 65!

Phoenix Rising FC have a bye week in Week 19 of the USL Championship (Twitter: @USLChampionship).  No game so we decided to dig around in the dirt to see if there were any interesting takeaways from what we have been amassing over the last 18 weeks. I can hardly remember when we had so much fun in this treasure chest or learned so much about this team!

Digging in the dirt : Phoenix Rising FC, yes the boys can shoot!  We have taken more shots than any other team - have they converted to goals?  We have 5 red cards, lots of yellows - are we the dirtiest team in the league?  Is there evidence to suggest that teams see a weakness on our left side?  Who is the best player on our team and how is that defined?  Lots more - Kelley McCarthy joins the fun and digs for the story behind the numbers. 

Game Preview and awesome interview with the amazing Connor Sutton from Sacramento Republic FC : As well as doing many other things, Connor runs The Breakaway: A Republic FC Podcast. He came on the show to talk about the team, about the deep Open Cup run, and about the game in Phoenix on July 23.

Game Preview :  Another preview, this time Phoenix Rising (Twitter: @PHXRisingFC) travel to Kentucky in what is supposed to be an epic midweek battle against Louisville City FC on July 20.  Since LOU are currently in first place in the USL Eastern Conference it's looking more like a David v Goliath matchup, but who doesn't love being the underdog!

BREAKING NEWS:  Phoenix Rising GM Bobby Dulle is on the show to talk about "that" New Mexico United game.  It was scheduled for Saturday, May 21, was postponed when Rising were forced to follow the league's COVID protocol, and rescheduled for 3 days later.  Bobby shares the facts and the feelings around what happened. Matt Robarts, a player, youth coach, Phoenix Rising season ticket holder and analyst on this podcast joins the conversation.  Matt was with us for the round up when we played New Mexico United on April 16.  That was an incredible game where Greg Hurst scored early and in the closing minutes of the game our goalie, Ben Lundt, saved a penalty ensuring Phoenix's success! 

SPECIAL SEGMENT:  The US Open Cup is down to the Round of 16 and while Rising is not a contender, there are three USL teams we are keeping an eye on in the hope that they might make a splash in the MLS dominated field.  In addition to predicting the game outcomes we've dug up a few historic highlights that reveal the storied history of soccer in the US.  Thank you Kelley McCarthy for this segment!!
