The Philadelphia Eagles romped the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football. The game, the vibes surrounding the team, and the QB/coach duo of Nick Sirianni and Jalen Hurts are examined. The guys run through the NFL Week 6 card and offer some perspective as the Birds head into the bye week. Penn State was throttled at the Big House by Michigan on Saturday afternoon and a therapy session ensues: a recap, what James Franklin said after the loss, why his team won't respond, and how Sean Clifford prepared for the biggest game of the year thus far. The episode wraps with a call into the Spot in the Shade line: the guys react to a certain Philly lunatic who is currently is on cloud nine.

The Philadelphia Phillies advanced to the NLDS in the MLB playoffs over the weekend and get out to a 1-0 series lead over the Atlanta Braves. He also reacts to the Philadelphia Eagles win in Arizona over the Cardinals and looks forward to the Sunday Night Football matchup with NFC East rival Dallas Cowboys. There were a couple of horrific roughing the passer calls in Week 5 of the NFL season - along with the rest of the nation, G is not happy. He previews the Penn State/Michigan game and looks at some other notable games on the Week 7 College Football slate. He answers the lone Spot in the Shade call this week pertaining to the coaches in Philadelphia and gives a brief preview for the upcoming seasons of the Flyers and Sixers.
