The Fandom Nexus Retro Show

This is an introductory episode of the Marvel ToonCast where Tim and Jeremy will introduce them selves and the format of this podcast.  Do you recall the X-Men pilot episode, "Pryde of the X-Men"?  This was to be the beginning of an animated series in the 80s, but unfortunately it failed to launch. To introduce you to the format of this show, we'll talk about this one shot episode and the arcade game that it spawned!

If you are a fan of Marvel and cartoons from the past, this is the show for you! Tim is the host of the popular podcast Saturday Morning Rewind where he talks to various actors from your favorite cartoons! Jeremy is the host of The Neverland Podcast where you can relive childhood memories of toys, games, movies, and also keep an eye on the latest movies in the Disney and Geek culture!

Welcome back to the Neverland Podcast!

Shanghai Disneyland is now open for visitors and Dory is swimming back in theaters.

This is a big week for Disney happenings, and not all of them good. Be we here in Neverland like our happy thoughts, so we'll focus on the positive as we visit the Neverland Trailer Park to take a look at the upcoming Disney film, Pete's Dragon. We get to see quite a bit more of Eliot, but questions still remain about this remake.

There is a new Star Wars themed fireworks spectacular going on in WDW's Disney Hollywood Studios, and I have some audio for you of the show that I know you're going to love. I'm borrowing it from Attractions Magazine!

This past week we lost Janet Waldo, best known as Judy Jetson and to us Disney nerds, Grandma from The Carousel of Progress. I invited Tim Nydell from Saturday Morning Rewind and Jason from DAF Radio to join me in honoring her work.

Welcome back to the Neverland Podcast!

It's all theme parks and video games in Neverland this week! Lost Boy Retlaw (Eric) joins your Spider-Pan Jeremy on an adventure through Azeroth and Neverland. On the way we'll visit a Jungle, get Frozen, and wish we were in Shanghai!

This week in the Neverland Trailer Park we'll take a look at Assassin's Creed and a sneak a peek at a Moana teaser that has been flying in under the radar.

We've got a review of the new film Warcraft and in order to keep perspective, we'll talk a little about the storyline that has carried this game series on to online stardom.

But before that, we have a treat for you as Eric got a chance to sit down with Disney Infinity head story board artist, Adrian Ropp! He can't talk about DI just yet, but he's got some really fun projects that we think you'll enjoy!

Welcome back to the Neverland Podcast!

It’s been a long time since we got to talk about them or their time at Disney MGM Studios. Yes, friends it’s the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and their back in theaters with another hit movie! We’ll talk a little bit about their time in a Disney meet and greet before we dive into a movie review and some great fun in The Neverland Story Time.

We’ve also got a bizarre movie coming this January that we’ll talk about in the Neverland Trailer Park called Monster Trucks. It’s….weird but cute.

We’ve got lots of creature feature fun this week for all ages on the Neverland Podcast.

Welcome back to the Neverland Podcast!

There was so much going on in Disney movie entertainment this week that this episode will be another long one!

We have some new trailers to look at including the new Ghostbusters, Finding Dory, and Beauty and the Beast! We’ll take a look and share our thoughts in the Neverland Trailer Park.

We have two Disney movies (even though one is made by Fox, it’s a Disney property) that need a review, so hang on for X-Men: Apocalypse and Alice Through the Looking Glass.

Next we invite some guests to share about the great actor, Alan Young. You’ll hear from Bill Farmer, Townsend Coleman, and Katie Leigh!

And finally join Lost Boy Eric and I as we discuss the Age of Apocalypse!

Welcome back to the Neverland Podcast!

I'm so very excited about hosting a panel at Planet Comicon next Saturday! I hope you are coming to enjoy this historic event! I want to get the part started by spending some time talking about Walt Disney's history here in Kansas City by sharing a chat with Jane from Thank You Walt Disney that I had at the Kansas City Comic Con last year.

Since at the panel we'll be talking about the original Main Street USA, I thought it would be fun to take a ride with Lost Boy Jesse as he rides every vehicle on Main Street at Disneyland during Friends of the Magic 2014!

Before we get to that, we have some Neverland News that is not going to make anyone happy, but a visit to the Neverland Trailer Park that will make everyone happy about the upcoming "The BFG" movie from Disney! And we can mourn the loss of The Muppets television show by visiting the Muppets in our Neverland Story Time!

Welcome back to the Neverland Podcast!

The Marvel Universe is at war with itself, and of course we're there to cover it all for you!

Back in 2006, Marvel released 7 issues of a comic called, Civil War. Along with these comics, nearly every title in the Marvel U had tie in stories on how the catastrophic events effected the characters in those titles. It was one of the most controversial stories ever published by Marvel, and now it's the background for a major motion picture. Not only will the Spider-Pan Jeremy review the movie, he will take the time to talk with Lost Boy Eric about this Marvel event that changed history in the M.U.

Before that conversation however, it's customary to take a ride at a Disney Park and also enjoy some Neverland Story Time, this week featuring The Amazing Spider-Man!

Welcome back to the Neverland Podcast!

It's time for some fun as we dive into some great news for Doctor Who fans before we get into some exciting and also some disheartening news from Marvel Studios. Lots of interesting things happening in the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

A trip to The Neverland Trailer Park is in order when we need to look at a sequel and a remake. Independence Day: Resurgence and The Magnificent Seven. To movies that plan to compete for your movie money this summer, and one of them has a Disney connection!

Did you ever see Disney's classic, "Make Mine Music"? One of the featured segments of that film is the wonderful short, Johnny Fedora and Alice BlueBonnett. If you are not familiar with the story, it is our featured attraction in the Neverland Story Time! You will hear a version of the song as well, but I prefer the original song from the film featuring the Andrews Sisters!

Next prepare for some Magical fun as we present audio from Friends of the Magic 2014....Magical...the fireworks show from Disneyland!
