In Part 1 of their 2-parter on The Winchesters' "Art of Dying," Chrisha and Catherine talk about barns. A lot.
They also discuss Mary's growth as a leader, John's anger and his attempt at healing, Lata's powerful choice for non-violence, and Carlos' sudden silence in the face of true attraction--and how that speaks to Dean's reactions towards Cas.

In Part 2 of their two-parter on The Winchesters' "Legacy of a Mind," Chrisha and Catherine pull out the red string.
They delve into the reasons why Mary and John's journey into Mary's mind may have felt a little familiar, why the monster of the week may have given us some clues as to what the heck is going on with the series, and discuss about the Akrida and what the episode's songs may be hinting at.

It was another massive recording session for episode five of The Winchesters, "Legacy of a Mind," so this week Chrisha and Catherine are breaking it down into two different parts.
Part 1 explores the Monster Club's character arcs in the episode and the themes of lies vs. honesty and hiding vs. being seen. Of special focus are Mary's exploration of her darkest moment, Ada's relationship with her son, Tony, and the many, many ways in which John deserves being told to f*** off.
Part 2? Yeah, they're pulling out the red string. Stay tuned!

Content Warning: This episode includes discussion of PTSD and John's self-harm behavior.
It's been a bit of a wait, but Catherine and Chrisha are back with a MASSIVE almost 2 hour episode about The Winchester's E4, "Masters of War."
They focus in on the trauma journeys faced by the two different pairs in the episode: John and Carlos, and Lata and Mary, and the different ways each of them face when triggered: healing and community vs. anger and isolation.

"Everybody's Talkin'" lyrics, as promised. :)
Everybody's talkin' at me
I don't hear a word they're sayin'
Only the echoes of my mind
People stoppin', starin'
I can't see their faces
Only the shadows of their eyes
I'm goin' where the sun keeps shinin'
Through the pourin' rain
Goin' where the weather suits my clothes
Bankin' off of the Northeast winds
Sailin' on summer breeze
And skippin' over the ocean like a stone
Wah, wah
Wah
I'm going where the sun keeps shinin'
Through the pourin' rain
Goin' where the weather suits my clothes
Bankin' off of the Northeast winds
Sailin' on summer breeze
And skippin' over the ocean like a stone
Everybody's talkin' at me
Can't hear a word they're sayin'
Only the echoes of my mind
I won't let you leave my love behind
No, I won't let you leave-wah
I won't let you leave my love behind

Episode 2 of The Winchesters hit hard on the concept of monstrous parents, generational trauma, cycles of abuse, and finding yourself. There has been so much promotional material coming out about The Winchesters that Catherine and Chrisha have literally not been able to keep up!
But they did have an opportunity to record about some of it, and you can listen to their thoughts about:
- that slightly different version of "Carry On Wayward Son" under a recent promo
- more about that Cas clip and how it might connect to "Dark Side of the Moon" and "Destiny's Child"
- Henry Winchester and Mary Campbell
- mother-and-child relationships
―all in this new episode!
