This month we cover Fruit Flapjack biscuits in an attempt to be more "autumnal".
Oh and we also remember this is meant to be a podcast about a film game. We talk about that as well, between biscuits.
Mr Birch tries to remain calm talking about Borderlands and they Misters lose their minds when the words "Ana De Armas" and "John Wick" are combined. 2025: It's the future!
It started well... Mr Smith got all excited about a film reference he immediately recognised and then, well, then it all got a bit weird.
Intro music is by, you know who, and the outro music by Hidden Citizens.
The Misters are back and they are doing a deep dive into the scores so far for the One and Done and the mini league.
They also have a look at film still to come for 2024 and give a few tips on where to place your investments.
Intro music this week is a cover "In the House in a Heartbeat" by one of our players, Papsamillion but the outro music is as always by the ever excellent Hidden Citizens.
Suffering with some genuine technical issue the Misters plough on with less sound clips and more biscuits as they review the cast you *should* have bought his year.
Yes it's the bi-annual unhelpful review of where you should have invested your Fuffle. Plus the start of the Blockbuster Season this week is keeping them busy and Mr Smith tries to get Mr Birch into the Star Wars spirit.
It does not go well.
Music (if it's working) by the ever excellent Hidden Citizens and Two steps from Hell and a live performance of the dubstep news jingle.
The Misters an in an alternate location this week and it's caused some technical issue.
Soldiering on the boys discuss the upcoming Blockbuster season (May to July) and discuss whether it's better to go all in with Ryan Reynolds or Ryan Gosling.
Mr Birch also looks at movie tropes and Checkov's Gun comes under the spotlight today. And Tivo. So many references to Tito.
And yes, there is a real button and no, he did not get to push it.
Outro music by Hidden Citizens and there rest, well it went a bit wrong.
So one more time before it becomes officially official. We need to talk about Bond casting and the boys try to do it without Mr Birch waxing on about Henry Cavill.
This goes about as well as you would expect. They cover some of the contenders for the role and give thier own thoughts on who will be slipping into the tuxedo next.
And (possibly for the last time) we get to roll out the classic Budget Bond Theme by D.S Squid. It's a work of art. Check out his other work at https://dsquidmusic.bandcamp.com/music
Other music by Two steps from Hell and Hidden Citizens
The boys are back and uncharacteristically trying to keep it short DESPITE having to dissect Madame Webb and discuss Dune 2 AND they start badly with a massive biscuit
diversion.
They also remember that Bad Film Club is back next week with Morbius and it causes issues...
Finally, they do quite well covering the Oscar winners in brief detail but then we have The Incident and then, well, then things got violent...
Music by the ever excellent Two Steps from Hell and Hidden Citizens for the intro and outro.
The Misters are under a tight deadline this week so they get faster and faster as we go on. You may need to slow Mr B down a bit.
Also, as promised Mr B tries to explain the plot of The Beekeeper but gets totally sidetracked by the *amazing* accents.
The main event this week though is a quick look all of the films coning out in 2024. There's actually quite a lot given 2023. There's actually too many to do in one episode but the Misters give it a good try.
Music by the ever excellent Two Steps from Hell and Hidden Citizens.
The Misters are back, talking Oscars and trying to keep the episode length down. Apologies in advance for the term "Barbieheimer" coming back. They cover the FFL rules for the Oscars and take a look at the contenders and address the Barbie in the room, well the Barbie *not* in the room.
Music as always by the Two Steps from Hell and Hidden Citizens.
It's important you read the label on any medicine you take. If you don't you could find yourself dealing with unexpected
side effect likes a gravelly voice, a dimension slipping turn into alternate realities and losing your mind when presented with an impossible casting choice.
That's not really mentioned on the labels but it can happen...
Mr Smith gets another chance to put right what once went wrong as he once more is presented with the world altering choices of casting What If while Mr Birch's voice travels a few octaves.
It's a weird one....
Music and interstitials by the ever excellent Two Steps From Hell and Hidden Citizens.
No alternate realities were harmed in the making of this episode
.
The podcast currently has 160 episodes available.
