  • SELL JSN?! 12 Dynasty Players You Need to Buy or Sell NOW

The Fantasy Football Lab Reaction Chamber is OPEN. 🧪📈

A few weeks into the season, dynasty managers are starting to react — and sometimes overreact. That creates opportunities.

Arlen and Nate break down the dynasty players they’re trying to buy low, sell high, get in on early, or get out of while the value is still there. The episode covers buy candidates like Quinshon Judkins, Drake Maye, Matthew Golden, Rome Odunze and Chris Bell, plus why 2027 rookie picks might be entering their final real buy-low window.

Then we flip the market: Cam Skattebo, Denzel Boston, Javonte Williams, James Cook, Christian Watson — and one spicy question:

    Would you actually SELL JSN?

Nate argues that even an elite dynasty cornerstone can be moved if the return can completely reshape a rebuilding roster. Arlen pushes back: JSN may have officially entered the untouchable tier.

  • 1,374 Leagues Reveal What Your Fantasy Team Should Do Next

Your fantasy record might be lying to you.

After three weeks, a 3-0 team can be in trouble — and an 0-3 team might be much closer to a championship run than it feels.

So instead of guessing, we pulled data from 1,374 fantasy football leagues and built 8 different team profiles based on:

🏈 How strong your team actually is
💰 How much FAAB you have left
📈 Where you rank in points scored
🍀 How much your record has been helped — or hurt — by luck

Then we looked at what teams in each situation actually did next.

    Should you keep spending FAAB?
    Should you slow down?
    Should you start trading?
Should you stop touching a good roster just because you're 0-3?

Some of the results were pretty wild.

Unlucky high-scoring teams that continued bidding won 5x as many titles as the teams that stopped.

Strong teams with FAAB were better off continuing to attack the waiver wire.

And some teams with great records actually had one of the WORST championship rates in the entire dataset.

We also get into one of Arlen's favorite underused strategies: trading for FAAB and effectively rebuilding your waiver budget during the season.

Find your profile. Be honest about what kind of team you actually have. Then play the rest of the season accordingly.

👇 Tell us which of the 8 profiles your team falls into.

And if you've found something that works when you're 0-3, sitting on a pile of FAAB, or desperately trying to save a bad roster — drop it in the comments. We respond to every one.

How to Work the Waiver Wire in Redraft Fantasy Football | FAAB Strategy

The waiver wire is where redraft fantasy football leagues are won—or where a great draft quietly falls apart.

In this Fantasy Football Lab episode, Arlen and Nate break down FAAB strategy, waiver wire bidding, early-season breakouts, running back stashes, bench management, playoff preparation, and the habits that separate active championship teams from everyone else.

We tested our waiver wire assumptions across 120 redraft fantasy football leagues. Some held up. Some needed to be rewritten.

In this video, we cover when to spend FAAB early, how much to bid on waiver wire players, why you should bid on opportunity instead of last week’s box score, how champions approach contested claims, and how to stay active even after a slow start.

  • How to Win Chopped League Waivers | Data From 42k Waiver Claims Fantasy Leagues

How should you actually spend your FAAB in a Guillotine or Chopped fantasy football league?

We went beyond gut feeling and analyzed 89 active leagues, 41,179 waiver claims, roughly 1,500 team-seasons and 1,100 eliminations to see what actually helped managers survive.

In this episode of the Fantasy Football Lab, Arlen breaks down:

    • Why simply saving all your FAAB isn’t necessarily the winning strategy
    • Why spending early can actually LOWER your elimination risk
    • The danger of relying too heavily on $0 pickups
    • How much of your budget you should target having left at the halfway point
    • The “Grinder” vs. “Sniper” FAAB strategies
    • Why burning 71% of his budget by Week 3 eventually got Arlen axed
    • How much you should spend on quarterbacks in 1-QB leagues
    • Why odd-numbered bids can give you a small but real advantage
    • How dramatically player prices fall when stars return to waivers later in the season

One of the biggest takeaways: aim to reach the midpoint with roughly 50–75% of your original FAAB remaining — but don’t be afraid to spend when your roster actually needs help.

In a Guillotine League, you aren’t building the perfect roster for December. Your first job is much simpler:

    Don’t finish last this week.

Nate is MIA, so Arlen takes over the Fantasy Football Lab to break down 7 late-round "must-stash" players you need on your bench before Week 1 kicks off.

Instead of burning roster spots on washed-up floor veterans or ambiguous handcuffs that clog your bench for months, this strategy targets high-upside players who will show you their true role immediately. If they hit, you just saved massive FAAB. If they bust, cut bait for early waiver gems without regret.

  • Win Your Draft - 2026 Draft Strategies

I ran a stack of mock drafts this week and counted positions. Running backs took 13 of the first 24 picks, with 5 more gone before round three ended.

Your league mates aren't wrong to do that — they watched last season and adjusted. But the supply of good running backs in the middle rounds didn't change. Same guys, same committees, same coaching staffs that won't commit. All that changed is the price.

Solo episode this week. I break down all five draft strategies in plain English, give you the one question that sits underneath every one of them, and then commit to what I'm actually doing at every draft slot this season — including the three-question test I use on any running back going in rounds four through eight.
