I use our recent move into a new home as a real-life example. It was a stressful time for everyone involved. There were deadlines, unpacking, emotions, and unexpected challenges. But I realized that if I allowed someone else’s stress to become my stress, I would only contribute to more tension and conflict instead of becoming a source of calm.
Remember this: everyone is carrying something. Everyone has battles you can’t see. Your responsibility isn’t to absorb everyone else’s emotions—it’s to manage your own mindset so you can respond with patience, grace, and wisdom.
When you learn to control your internal world, you stop allowing external circumstances to control your peace.
