God is with us through all of life. He either meets our needs or meets us in our needs with his presence. He is the gift that keeps on giving. Today’s message will highlight Jesus’ baptism, showing us where we stand in our relationship with God and how we can partner with him in seeing his Kingdom come on earth.

The second chapter of Luke’s Gospel recounts the most miraculous birth in history—a story filled with chatter, unbelief, and laughter. Yet one marked by the Holy Spirit’s power and presence, ushering in a new era of grace.

The word “supernatural” means beyond and above the natural. This is where God operates and where heaven and the earth intermingle. God wants His children to live and operate in this realm through faith, daily trusting and resting in His love and plan.

The Kingdom of God is the place where God dwells and where those who dwell with Him experience the benefits of His rule in their lives. But alongside the blessings of this Kingdom life are a few challenges. It’s not always easy to surrender control and to leave lesser kingdoms behind. This is great tension, but God is with us and helps us as we persevere.

Water baptism is an act of faith and obedience to the commands of Christ. Baptism declares that you are a follower of Jesus, and it is a public confession of your faith in and commitment to Him. It is the next step after salvation through repentance and faith and is an important foundation for the Christian life. God wants to give each of us a heavenly vision. Vision from God is something beyond what we can do for ourselves. The Apostle Paul received a heavenly vision from the Lord, and it set the course for the rest of his life. Whatever may come in this life, we can endure it and flourish if we have a heavenly vision.
