Mesmerism has been a curious science over the last few hundred years and our grandfather of horror himself, Edgar Allan Poe, had a very special interest in it, producing three separate stories about it. Sit for a spell, look into my eyes, drift off and let us evaluate the Facts of the Case of M. Valdemar.
This week I will be reading a shortened version of Poe's story, discussing his interest in mesmerism and showcasing some other interesting and frightening hypnotists.

Have you ever been out and about, in your comfortable parts of town, and just came across someone that didn't seem...right? Someone who might have been moving unnaturally or looking just a bit too...happy? Join me as we take a walk through the city and encounter the peculiar -- Smiling Man.
This week features the Smiling Man as derived from an r/letsnotmeet post from reddit by blue_tidal. I discuss the rise of the smiling man urban legend, the links to last season's Slender Man, and some other creepy smiling monsters that have shown up over the years.

The season two premiere is here and I'm stuffing a bunch of content in a clown car to help fuel those growing nightmares. Today I will be exploring the anomaly surround coulrophobia and the fear of clowns as it's grown in recent years.
This week features an original story based on the urban legend, The Babysitter and the Clown statue. I also discuss clown sightings from 1981 and 2016, John Wayne Gacy and, of course, well known clowns like Twisty, The Joker and Pennywise.

It's here! The season one finale! And it's a special one as it's Friday the 13th, a day held in high regard for the horror community. Today, I will be exploring the movie franchise of the same name and exploring the story of the undead hockey masked killer himself -- Jason Vorhees!
This week, I will be discussing some of the history of the Friday the 13th date, telling the story of Jason's (first) Final Chapter and showcasing the history of the franchise including the poor critical reception and facts about the big guy himself.

The story today is loosely based on the plot to Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter, arguably the best in the series.
In this penultimate episode of Season One, I'd like to take you down the rabbit hole a bit and go on a search for a certain, maniacal, killer bunny. This isn't your normal cute and cuddly bunny and instead we visit a town that's gripped in terror at a large, ax-wielding floppy eared rodent who's come to take away the kiddies. Let's investigate the mystery of -- the Easter Bunny.
This week I will be discussing my own personal feelings about rabbits, sharing a story about a more deranged Easter Bunny, providing some history on the holiday of Easter and discussing the concept of Easter Eggs, both the candy filled ones and the ones found in our favorite movies, shows and video games.
