I speak about the non-biblical truth behind her name, as well as explore the impact being a Pastor’s wife might have on her self esteem. I also tie in the importance of understanding your purpose so you don’t end up walking in someone else’s shoes!

In this episode I speak about the issue of Pastors who claim their church is the one true church, Pastors who interfere in the personal lives of their church members. I share ways on how to tackle this, whilst empowering you to live a Fearlessly Free life!

In this week’s episode I discuss the traditions within the black culture that potentially impact our awareness of spiritual abuse. Do our customs cause us to trust church leaders too soon? Have we confused respecting our elders with collusion and/or accepting abuse? I explore the connection between spiritual abuse in the black church, and trans-generational trauma caused by slavery.

This first official episode forms one of the ‘Letters to the Wounded’. We address public embarrassment in the church, and over-emphasis on submission to leadership. As well as discussing red flags, I also share my own experiences of spiritual abuse.

This intro is a taster of what I’ll be discussing over the next few episodes. Spiritual abuse is something many of us don’t talk about, yet some of us are very much wounded by the things we’ve witnessed and had to endure in church. Well it stops today!
