DAY 1: Welcome to Embraced! Today, Ash Wednesday, we start the Lenten Season. We invite you to enter into a 40-day personal prayer time with God through the day's Gospel and through music and worship.

Lent is more than just giving up your favorite things. Lent is not about you doing something for God, it is about God doing something for you. Come, enter into the room--open your heart and let God speak to you in the next 40 days.

DAY 9: It’s the last day before Christmas. Tonight at Christmas Eve Mass, we will hear once more that line in the Gospel, “And there was no room for them in the inn.” Let us rewrite that line. Let us clean up, clear up, and spruce up the inn of our hearts that Jesus may find in it a warm and welcome lodging.

Prayer: May the spirit of Christmas be always in our hearts. Amen.

DAY 8: Christmas is one of the most awaited season but through the years, it has become somewhat a source of stress to some; hence, the term "Christmas rush" was coined. We forget that Christmas is truly a time to slow down and relish our moment with the birthday boy. To Jesus, the best gift He can ever receive are not those wrapped in fancy paper. More than anything else, the gift that Jesus wants is YOU.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, never let me take You for granted. Ingrain in my consciousness a deep awareness of Your real presence in the Eucharist and in my prayers. Not for Your sake but for mine. Amen.

DAY 7: We live in a fleeting world. An idea that may be relevant today can be obsolete tomorrow. The only things that are constant in this world is change, and God's unchanging love for us. When we hold on to the latter, it will be easier for us to dance with the former. 

Prayer: Lord Jesus, You are the Vine, we are the branches. Draw us and keep us close to You. Amen.

DAY 6: Today, do any of these things: Be a Mary today. Share your joy. Share your blessings. Or just share your person. Make that phone call, that e-mail or text message. Go on a journey and make an unplanned visit and make someone feel loved and accompanied. Find your Elizabeth and gift her with joy. Or maybe seek out an “enemy” and initiate the first steps to reconciliation. 

Prayer: Grant me the generosity to be a Mary today. And the humility to be an Elizabeth. Amen.

DAY 5: No one is so rich as to have nothing to receive. No one is so poor as to have nothing to give. What can you bless the world with?

Prayer: Dearest Lord, teach me to be generous, to give and not to count the cost. Amen.

DAY 4: You may have all the qualities to succeed in your chosen field but without discipline, they become futile. Discipline is simply dying today to live for a better tomorrow. Anything that has a worthwhile result requires difficult decisions and actions. Discipline may not be easy but it's surely doable. 

Prayer: Lord Jesus, grant me the prudence and willpower to live a purpose-driven life. Amen.

DAY 3: In a world where being loud is celebrated, being still has become a negative attribute. Cliche as it may sound, but indeed, action speaks louder than words. People listen more to what you do than to what you say. There is dignity in silence. 

Prayer: O Joseph, the just one, protect our families with your intercession. Amen.
