The Fellows Bold

Guillermo Del Toro presents: tooth-fairies. The Rowdy Daddies get even rowdier, and start winding up and talking over each other. Harry and Adam (inexplicably) start quoting movies whilst Kev and Abi do maths/work stuff out. Lynhart gets Holier Than Thou. Von can't stop thinking about Green Devils. Aurelia really just wants to get the sceptre-key. Oliago loses count of the floor tiles.

A wild Goristro appears! A Tanar’ri Demon, fresh from the Abyss and coming out swinging, poses a particularly deadly distraction from the Fellows’ main mission. At the critical moment, Andre, Oliago and Von take an unexpected trip (literally), and Lynhart and Aurelia agonise over a difficult decision before remembering the party are equipped with radio headsets.

Aurelia and the Rowdy Daddies get more than they bargained for. After grinding the svirfneblin into a fine paste, they cut their own path through the Tomb and use Aurelia's reality-rewriting confidence to gain entrance to as-yet-uncharted-dungeon-territory. There, the Rowdy Daddies get physical with a few more svirfneblin - but not enough to stop them from activating a pre-prepared summoning circle that promises doom for the Fellows. 

The Swansea Fringe 2019 is less than a month away, and we'd love to see you at our live episode taping! This is the second year we'll be performing as part of the Swansea Fringe, and we're so excited. The Fellows take different approaches to retrieving the first key. Aurelia turns to her mystic arcanum and opts for non-violence. Oliago goes striding ahead of the group and ends up in a game of cat and mouse. Von practices his parkour/free running skills on Kane's ex-punching bag. Lynhart sakes his deep (gnome) bloodlust. (Confused about the title? Say it out loud.)

Oliago and Aurelia make an impromtu offering to an unknown deity in the Chapel of Evil. Lynhart intentionally triggers a trap to show off his new efreeti armour. Von and Andre get up close and personal with a Gelatinous Cube.

As previous attempts at the Tomb of Horrors failed to locate the evil lich Anorak, Mrs Thomas (Wally's mum) organises a third and final raid on the infamous dungeon. Anorak has been redecorating again, and the Tomb promises a host of new traps and tediums to brutalise and bore would-be dungeoneers.

Amidst hijinks and horseplay, Aurelia, Lynhart, Oliago and Von Draeli begin. Lynhart performs a miracle (much to Oliago's joy) and promptly falls down a pit trap. Von disgusts the party with talk of his pubic pelt. Aurelia spots some demons before they have chance to know they exist themselves. Oliago reminisces with the Sphere of Annihilation.

With the Fellows about to make their third attempt at the infamous Tomb of Horrors, Cadwalader 'Wally' Thomas recounts the origin story of their arch-nemesis Anorak and the events that have proceeded this sure-to-be-epic trip (first episode next Monday). In a bid for answers and a cure for his failing heart, Wally recruits dwarf wizard Miles Sudrock to journey with him back to the Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan.

Everything that's punitive is what I feel when we're together (in the Hall of the Fire Giant King). After fumbling around in the lower lava levels and falling prey to a cruel illusion, the Fellows emerge only to walk right into their quarry. As if one foe was not enough, Ada, Blaze, and Miles set their sights on taking down not only the mysterious Eclavdra, but also King Snurre himself. 

 

Next week's episode will be a recap of the story so far, and the week after, we will begin the final raid into the Tomb of Horrors (where Anorak has been redecorating again). Alternative Title: Walls, I Scream.

A close encounter with a nasty trap forces the Fellows to make a hasty decision that could bring the wrath of the entire fire giant army down upon them!

The Hall of the Fire Giant King sprawls and sprawls, but the Fellows finally manage to find a way down to a second level. They start a fight they could completely have avoided (so much for luck with curtains, Miles) and are rewarded with an unconventional D&D dungeon prize. They then investigate a room full of coffins that seems unwilling to give up its secrets (if it even has any).
