We all experience grief at some point in our lives, however how we process grief is often overlooked or ignored. 

Grief is a powerful emotion, a response to loss. Loss of a loved one, a way of life, or a way of being, living and relating. 

Grief is also a response to love, for we cannot grieve so if we have not loved so. 

Grief when left unprocessed sits heavy in the heart, creating a barrier in how we love and relate with ourselves and others and drives our behaviour and beliefs, our choices and decisions. 

In this episode of The Feminine Principle Podcast, I share my own journey navigating unprocessed grief that was triggered by the death of Queen Elizabeth and the lessons I learned from it, and how we can navigate grief in a more healthy and balanced way by following the three P’s - Presence, Patience and Permission.

What has the war in Ukraine triggered in you?

War is conflict. War is internal and external conflict. War is what is happening on the inside every time we feel internal conflict within ourselves and war is what is happening outside of us, in our communities, with each other, and in the world at large when two or more opposing sides fight for power and control, freedom, sovereignty, and democracy. 

The individual and collective wounds of war run deep into the psyche and left untended they simmer and fester beneath the surface creating toxic behaviour and belief systems that hinder our ability to lead, love, and relate in a healthy and balanced way. 

In this episode of The Feminine Principle Podcast, I am exploring the individual and collective wounds of war and how the war in Ukraine is now triggering our own hidden wounds and is affecting us all on some level - economically, politically, morally, psychologically, and emotionally. 

What is happening in the collective is therefore happening inside of us, as what we are seeing is triggering something that has been buried within the self.

I share with you my own journey and the steps we can take to find resolution within the self so that we can start to consciously respond to war in the world around us rather than unconsciously reacting to it and instead unlock our human potential to work together to be solution-focused and find a more peaceful, heart-centred way to move forward, individually and collectively.

What aspect of your life are you afraid to let go of?

"Separating from our deep emotional attachments takes time as they are so embedded in the psyche, we are not aware of their existence as the repetitive pain and conflict they trigger has created a sense of identity"

Our journey of separation begins when we are born when the cord is cut and we are separated from our Mother, a journey we continue as we grow through life to develop our sense of identity and independence.

While separation is necessary, there are aspects of the self we find challenging to separate from as they are hidden in our unconscious, buried in our shadow.

Our emotional attachments and patterns of behaviour and beliefs that are born from our wounding, trauma, and conditioning are such aspects that are invisibly woven through our psyche, creating our sense of identity until we can separate from them enough to see them objectively and integrate the wisdom and lessons buried beneath.

In this episode of The Feminine Principle Podcast, we’re exploring the process of separation and integration and what it means for our journey of self-development and reconnecting with our authentic self. What aspects of yourself are you holding on to that actually no longer serve you?

“When we consciously or unconsciously choose to stay in unhealthy patterns in our personal or professional lives we are choosing to stay in a comfort zone, created from an unresolved wound that has created an illusion of safety.”

We all have comfort zones in all areas of our lives - personal and professional, externally and internally, and they can be conscious and unconscious. They are the areas in our lives where we feel safe, stable, and secure, the areas we feel comfortable.

As we know, we also outgrow our comfort zones and it’s our ability to act upon this that helps us to explore unchartered territory - a new environment, a new relationship, a new career path, a promotion. As a result, we evolve and experience more of our potential.

However, we also have repetitive patterns of behaviour and beliefs that have been created as a result of the wounding, trauma, and conditioning we have been exposed to, and these equally have become our comfort zones. They have, unconsciously created a sense of our identity, our story, and therefore to change them will mean shattering the illusion we have been living within.

So the question is are we truly ready to break out of this identity that has become our comfort zone and experience who we are beneath the wounding and the pattern?

This is the topic we are exploring in this episode of The Feminine Principle Podcast, how we are unconsciously comfortable staying in the comfort zones of our wounding, trauma, and conditioning, how it directly relates to our sense of needing to feel psychologically safe and steps we can take to tune into what is hidden.

I share with you my own experiences of bringing into the light an unconscious pattern from childhood that had created a deeply embedded comfort zone and enabled my own victim archetype to continue to limit my potential, simply because it created an illusion of safety.

“When we feel disconnected, dis-harmony or dis-ease, or we are experiencing internal conflict, separation or the deep sense that something is missing, this is our intuition communicating the imbalances caused by the fragmentation of our soul”

Where in your life do you feel disconnected, separated, or like something is missing?

The fragmented soul is an evolutionary concept of how the wounding, trauma, and conditioning we are exposed to causes separation from our true nature and fragments our soul as a result. 

Scattered into pieces, each fragment contains the moment the separation occurred and also the gifts, strengths, talents, and personal power that also became separated at the same time. 

In Shamanic traditions, it is the role of the Shaman or Shamanic Healer to alter their state of consciousness and journey to the other worlds beyond the veil and work with their spirit guides to find and restore these fragments and return them to the person/client seeking them. 

It is a deep healing practice of returning the soul and the self to wholeness, re-membering those parts of ourselves that we have become separated and disconnected from as a result of the pain and suffering we experienced. 

In this episode of The Feminine Principle Podcast, we explore the journey of the fragmented soul and its relationship to Shadow Work and the steps we can take to remember our own soul back home. I share with you my own experience through my Shamanic Roots and Soul Retrieval and how this fundamentally changed my life and my own soul’s journey.

How much do you love yourself? Do you love all of yourself? Parts of Yourself? Or none of yourself?

Loving the self is our natural state of being, to be in love with the self, and yet as a result of the wounding, trauma, and conditioning we have been exposed to we have become disconnected from love, from being able to truly love the self. 

As a result of this deep disconnection from love we have learned how to self-harm, however when we think of self-harm we think of the physical act of violence on the self, and yet, we harm ourselves every single day without realising it.

I bring your attention to the ways in which we unconsciously harm ourselves to be loved and accepted by others, and ignoring and rejecting parts of ourselves because they are simply too painful to acknowledge. I also share with you a simple tool to reconnect with the heart and steps we can take to remember love of thy self.

What Is Your Relationship With Expectation?

“Living and relating in expectation takes us out of the body and out of the present moment, sending our nervous system into unconscious overdrive, stress, and anxiety that could have been prevented if only we paid attention to our actions”

Expectation is woven into every aspect of our lives, the expectation we have of ourselves, the expectation we have of others, and the expectations that are projected onto us by others. They are woven into our internal tapestry from a very early age and as a result, we don’t realise how much they define us, our choices, and create our sense of identity.

So when we learn how to bring our attention and awareness to how expectation is woven into the relationship we have with ourselves and others, an astonishing picture begins to emerge as we realise how deep the fracture is in being able to communicate honestly with ourselves and others. 

We begin to recognise how this unspoken dialogue keeps us disassociated and feeling trapped in unhealthy relationship dynamics that prevent us from being fully present in the moment and therefore in our bodies to experience living, creating, and relating from a place of joy, pleasure, and deep connection.    

In this episode of The Feminine Principle Podcast, I’m exploring how expectation shows up in our lives and how we unconsciously feed the patterns that keep us from experiencing our power and potential. “Our constant need to seek validation from others reflects how we consistently and chronically have been conditioned to give our power away and trust in others rather than the self”

Who do you constantly find yourself seeking validation from in your personal or professional life?

From an early age, we have been conditioned to seek validation outside of the self, so we could learn what was right and wrong, good and bad, acceptable and non-acceptable, and as we did so we received either praise, love and attention or rejection, a reprimand or being chastised.

As a result, this pattern continued into adulthood and manifests in both our personal and professional lives as it is deeply woven into our unconscious psyche. It’s our default pattern that arises when we feel insecure, lacking in confidence, and are crippled by self-doubt. 

In this episode of The Feminine Principle Podcast, I’m exploring how our relationship with seeking validation keeps us from trusting in our own power and potential and prevents us from validating our emotions, our needs and boundaries, and our dreams and desires.

I share with you a story about my own relationship with validation and how it helped me to understand the deeper belief system at play that was directly connected to my own sense of self-worth and the steps we can take to unravel this deeply embedded pattern from our shadow self.

“We have a hidden language, a language we use unconsciously, passed down through the generations from mother to daughter informing us that our needs and boundaries are not worthy of respect”

Do the words you speak empower or disempower your sense of self-worth?

Verbal communication is such a fundamental aspect of our human nature, we communicate every single moment of every single day, silently and aloud to ourselves and others. However, for the most part, we don’t even realise what we’re saying or how we say it and we don’t recognise how some of the words we use are reinforcing a narrative that directly affects our sense of self-worth and value. 
 
In this episode of The Feminine Principle Podcast, I share with you three words that make up a phrase that we, as women, have been using against ourselves and others for centuries. We have used these words to negate, dismiss, and deny our emotions, our feelings, our needs and boundaries, our hopes, dreams and desires.

Three words that when taken together and repeated over and over again, remind us on an unconscious level we are not worthy and as a result keep us repeating the same unhealthy patterns and disconnected from our power and potential to change our world from the inside out.

“When we have a healthy relationship with our vulnerability we are able to face our deepest shadows and the pain and suffering hidden there so we can reclaim more of our power and potential buried beneath”   

In this unhealthy male-orientated structure we have been born into we have been conditioned to believe that vulnerability is a weakness and if we reveal this weakness we will be judged, criticised, named and shamed and therefore on some level rejected and excluded.

Conforming to this narrative further compounds our disconnection with our true and authentic nature and reinforces our unconscious need to avoid and suppress our emotions, pain and suffering, and unresolved wounding, trauma and conditioning. As a result, we armour up, protecting our hearts and hide behind the masks and roles that create an illusion of safety, security and stability, never allowing ourselves to step fully into the power of vulnerability in all areas of our lives.   

In this episode of The Feminine Principle Podcast, I explore the deep relationship we have with vulnerability from an early age and how our unconscious patterns are created from what we experience during this influential development period of our lives and how these then carry through to adulthood.   

I share with you my own intimate journey with vulnerability through my intense 5-yr Shamanic training, what I experienced and how I challenged myself to let go of all control and expectations to help me understand the true nature of the shadow, soul and psyche and the steps we can take to rebuild our relationship with trust by stepping into vulnerability.
