The 🚫ff Air Podcast

Sat down with a former guest that took off running with his career in stand-up after visiting the podcast almost exactly a year ago. Join us as Ty talks about the behind the scenes of promoting, producing, and headlining his own comedy show!

Talked gear, gigs, and shared stories with DJ Roman Brown of Mixology DJ Entertainment.

Feeling refreshed after a great conversation with another 20+ year career DJ, advocate, mentor, and peer we all know and love in the Charlotte-Metro area, DJ BBQ Sauce. Were I to start-up a radio station, Tim is someone that I would personally seek out for his knowledge, trustworthiness, and forward thinking, among other reasons. Be sure to check out his book "#PREPARETOPARTY" available now on Amazon.

Had an opportunity to sit down with a local artist with a powerful story and strong passion for music. We discuss his decision to leave corporate America and pursue his love of music, along with several other topics. Michael Carlson is one of the first guests on the show that plays the guitar, a theme that will occur in future episodes.

I sat down for a 1 on 1 with a Charlotte legend and DJ with 20+ years experience performing at nightclubs, bars, corporate & private events, and weddings. This is the man that brought me into the Charlotte DJ scene and put me onto my first gig in the Queen City, Brian "Boss" Austin.

Had a chance to speak with Ty McLaurin, an individual with 3 years experience as a comedy club manager. Stay tuned to hear what it takes for comedians to stay booked in the industry, along with several stories from the club Ty managed in Winston Salem North Carolina. Enjoy.

Throughout my last semester of my undergraduate degree at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, I spoke with a few of my fraternity brothers on topics like the benefits of staying involved on campus and other topics related to student life. In this first episode of this series, I had a wonderful conversation with the Eta Xi Chapter President and illustrious leader Darrick Romana. Enjoy.

What a great opportunity it was earlier this year to speak with Terry "DJ Ice Trey" Smith. Terry is a rock music superfan, DJ, military veteran and student at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. You can catch him DJing for the masses at the Extreme Ice Center in Indian Trail, NC. Thank you for listening. Enjoy.
