Growing up can be a bumpy road, and it’s no exception for Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Riley’s guiding emotions— Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness—live in Headquarters, the control centre inside Riley’s mind, where they help advise her through everyday life and tries to keep things positive, but the emotions conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house and school. 

Challenge #9 - "An Independent Film"

Two melancholic Hong Kong policemen fall in love: one with a mysterious underworld figure, the other with a beautiful and ethereal server at a late-night restaurant he frequents.

This one left us puzzled after the credits hit but one thing we knew for sure was we never wanted to hear California Dreamin' ever again. 

Challenge #8 - A film "set during a historic war" 

1917 (featuring All Quiet on the Western Front) 

At the height of the First World War, two young British soldiers must cross enemy territory and deliver a message that will stop a deadly attack on hundreds of soldiers.

Should 1917 have won best picture? Is Roger Deakins the GOAT? How and why did All Quiet on the Western Front win Best Score over Babylon? (No we're still not over it) 

Weekly Challenge #7 - "A Stop Motion Film"

We tried a more adult type of Stop motion film for this challenge, we were not prepared for the Claymation nudity that we would be exposed to thanks to "$9.99" 

Weekly Challenge #6 - "A Film with Subtitles" 

A24's 2 time Oscar nominated sleeper hit is the topic of discussion this time around. Should it have won Best picture? Does the guy get the girl in the end? What are our own "What If" scenarios? these are the questions... 

Weekly Challenge #4 - "A Film Starring Animals" 

The final movie challenge of January involves a Peruvian bear who travels to London in what is pretty widely considered one of the most wholesome movies of all time.  

Week #3 - "Low budget, big box office" 

We survived Godzilla Minus Color in 4DX. 
In our third challenge we discuss the latest Godzilla film's profit, it's chances at The Oscars, and we compare it to the American Godzilla.
