Boston Mayor Michelle Wu has implemented a vaccine mandate in the city that requires all city workers to have at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose by Jan. 15th and a second dose by Feb. 15th. Boston police sergeant Shana Cottone, a critic of the mandate and member of Boston First Responders United was placed on leave this past weekend by the BPD days before the requirement goes into effect.
