What does it mean to truly believe that Jesus is enough?

He invites us to leave behind the things that keep us restless and return to the banquet Christ prepares for us, where we can receive His mercy, be purified, be fed, and allow Him to truly be enough.

What happens after freedom from pornography? The fight does not end. It goes deeper.

What does it mean to stand for the truth when doing so requires sacrifice?

In this Saturday homily from the Fight Club Catholic Leadership Summit, Fr. Tre Bart reflects on the martyrdom of St. John the Baptist and the responsibility Christians have to courageously witness to the truth, especially in a culture where unchastity has become pervasive and destructive.

Speaking directly to Fight Club Catholic leaders, Fr. Tre challenges them to recognize the importance of their mission: witnessing to the dignity of human sexuality and showing other men what a life of chastity and freedom can look like. Like John the Baptist, that witness requires courage and a willingness to sacrifice.

Fr. Tre invites leaders to embrace a kind of white martyrdom, a daily death to self expressed through sacrifice, prayer, and fasting for the men entrusted to their care. Ultimately, Christian leadership leads us back to the Cross, where Christ shows us what total self-gift looks like and gives us the strength to bring those we serve to Him.

The spiritual life can seem complicated. But at its heart, the choice is remarkably simple: Whose standard will you follow?
