They never worry.
They never get tired.
They never feel burdened.
They have the an unwavering faith.
They don’t mess up.
If they touch it, it always turns to gold.
Do you know these they’s?
Does thinking about them keep you awake at night because you can’t figure out how they do it. How do they manage it all so perfectly?
Who are they?
After working in the church for 23 years and working in mental health for over 15 years I can say with confidence that “they” don’t exist. They never have. Sure they may do somethings near perfectly at times - but not everything.
When you compare yourself to the theys of the world you find yourself feeling less. Sometimes maybe worth-less.
You feel less because you compare yourself to a utopian family or individual that doesn’t exist.
They don’t exist.
But He does.
And He is the only one that ever did anything perfectly. And really He even struggled. But through His- Jesus’ —struggles you can find relief.
