Predating both Suspense and Inner Sanctum, Lights Out! is considered to be one of the earliest radio horror programs. Created by Wyllis Cooper, the series had originated in the WENR Studios of Chicago, and eventually expanded the series as an NBC broadcast after garnering a cult following nationwide. Seething with vampires, invisible monsters, evil beings, and survivors of an apocalypse, the stories that Lights Out! features as absolutely chilling, and had even served as inspiration for some of Hollywood's greatest storytellers, including the Twilight Zone's own, Rod Serling.
Originally airing 4/26/1939, be sure to turn off the lights and gather around the radio for this week's episode of "The Devil's Due," from the iconic horror series, Lights Out!
