EP. 128 Follow The Money | Hollywood's Real Fight (Pt. 1)

A new format for The Film Gods. Couldn't get a guest on for April so I sat down with Claude (yes I call him Van Damme) to dig into what's actually happening in our industry right now. Hollywood is in the middle of another labour fight — WGA already signed, SAG-AFTRA back at the table on April 27th, DGA up in May, all three contracts expire June 30th. AI is the headline. But the more I looked, the more I think the real fight is somewhere else entirely. Closer to home, the Bectu AD branch are mid-dispute with Pact over the new UK rate card landing May 1st. Same fight, different continent. This is Part 1. Part 2 lands next month — Bollywood, China, Critterz, and the grandchildren question.
