Amid a growing challenge to her power, Margaret Thatcher fights for her position; Charles grows more determined to separate from Diana as their marriage unravels. In this podcast, I discuss the 8th Episode in Season 4 of The Crown. The year is 1985, and apartheid is still a large part of society in South Africa. As many nations propose economic sanctions on the country, tension mounts between Margaret Thatcher and Elizabeth over their clashing opinions on the Commonwealth and disrupting trade between South Africa and the United Kingdom. 

In this episode, I discuss The Hereditary Principle. Grappling with mental health issues, Princess Margaret seeks help and discovers an appalling secret about close relatives of the royal family. I gave this episode a rating of 8.5 out of 10. The way the subject was dealt with by the show and Princess Margaret's views on the matter really caught my attention.

In this podcast, I talk about episode 6, which focuses on Charles and Diana's tour of Australia. Diana is struggling to balance motherhood with her royal duties while she and Charles try to cope with their marriage difficulties. I gave this episode a rating of 7 out of 5, and I have no idea what that means, but I meant to say 7 out of 10. 

In this episode, I discuss one of the most interesting episodes from The Crown. Margaret Thatcher's policies create rising unemployment, and the Queen isn't voicing her point her view, as usual. Michael Fagan is a desperate man trying to spend time with his kids whilst looking for a job. He decides to break into the palace, where he finds Elizabeth's bedroom and awakens her for a chat. 

In this episode, I talk about episode 4, titled Favourites. It explores the close relationships the Queen and Prime Minister have with their children. Margaret Thatcher struggles with the disappearance of her son, while Elizabeth reexamines her relationship with her four children. 

The year is 1981, and Charles has proposed to Lady Diana Spencer. We see her move into Buckingham Palace as she finds her life filled with training, loneliness, and the complicated personal side of her fiance, Prince Charles. In this podcast, I review episode 3 titled Fairytale. I discuss where the characters are in their frame of mine, and what that means for the rest of the season.
