Publisher's Summary:
Sexy, rich, and one of the biggest stars in the NHL, Devin Garrison has always been the one who had it all. That is, until his marriage falls apart and he realizes that he has to start over. If he's honest, there has only been one woman who ever really excited him - Callie Caplan. They shared a night that was hotter than the late-summer sun, but in an instant Callie was gone, pretending that it never happened.
Callie Caplan isn't the wild child people think she is. It's true that she's avoided relationships, but only because she's seen how crazy love can be. And her messy, imperfect life is crazy enough without opening her heart to a man - even one as picture perfect as Devin. But when fate brings them back together just as they need each other most, Devin is determined to convince Callie that what she's feeling is real. And this final play may be their chance at forever....

Great Read
I have been waiting for this book to come out for what seems like forever! I really loved Callie in the previous books, and I love a good story about hearts that have broken and mended by love.
Callie had a terrible childhood. The adults in her life deserted her and her sisters at a very young age, and she was forced to grow up very fast. The only stable constant she had was her neighbors, Donna and Wyatt, their three sons Devin, Jordan and Cole, and their one billet "son" Luc. Donna and Wyatt watched out for Callie and her sisters, and of course Devin, Jordan, Cole and Luc became like older brothers to the girls. As the boys (and girls) grew up, life began to change. Devin made it to the NHL and experienced huge success while Callie worked hard at finishing high school so she could start on her dream of becoming an on set fashion/wardrobe manager in Hollywood. Both obtained their career goals but their personal lives are a wreck.
Devin has a successful career with the Barons. He has a wife, a child, and a Stanley Cup under his belt. He loves his family and wants more children. Unfortunately, his wife is not on the same page. She cannot handle the stress and loneliness of being a WAG, and she does irreparable damage to their marriage.
Callie is damaged from her youth - she is afraid of love, or should I say, she is more afraid of loving a losing. She believes the key to happiness is a series of one night stands. Devin is determined to show her otherwise. This is their story of finding themselves, finding love, and healing past wounds. I was hooked by the story line quickly. It is a sold good read, and I would recommend it to anyone.
Just okay
I love this series, but i was disappointed with how the author portrayed Devlin. He should have been portrayed darker, more alpha. She made him seem like a wuss. I still like Cali even though she's a bit of a pig. I found the dialogue immature. The sex wasn't great either.
Great Romance Story
What an great read. A person who loves everyone but doesn't believe in love for herself but must help her best friend who believes in love and only wants to be loved. One night stands can they be a thing of the past. Can one give of themselves and risk love, love that will eventually hurt and leave you or so one thinks? Great read. I suggest you read the entire series.
