A man, who was traumatized as a child during Christmas, experiences a mental break after being deceived at his work in a toy factory, goes on a killing spree around Christmas.

Christmas Evil is not at all what we were expecting during our first watch. Expecting a horror slasher, this film is a character piece of a man, traumatized by Christmas during his youth, loosing his grip on reality. Brandon Maggart, does a great job portraying a man transforming into his own vision of what Santa should be after discovering Santa isn't real. While the movie has misses in developing the story, it does have some good acting performances as well as a crazy ending. Watch the movie and catch our review.

Silent Night, Deadly Night 4: Initiation is by far the biggest deviation from the Silent Night, Deadly Night series and definitely the weirdest so far. We don't expect much else from Brian Yuzna, but with Clint Howard playing a character named Ricky, where it's completely left open if there's any continuity from the Ricky in the previous movies and the addition of body horror and bugs into known slasher films is a bit of a surprise. Not to mention, Christmas is barely mentioned in this movie that is a listed sequel of Christmas horror films. There is much to call out in this movie, but it is very entertaining. A family from California in inherits a house in Norway and moves in to furnish up the place, but encounter a presence in the barn.

There's Something in the Barn is a horror comedy that has a similar feel to Gremlins, but stands on its own as a charming film with some laughs, but also with a few gory kills. While there are inconsistencies in the movie, Martin Starr and the supporting cast maintain the laughs throughout and make the film an entertaining Christmas movie.

With very loose story continuity from the first move, this film may be even more outrageous than the previous film. It takes place in a film studio with a set of crazy characters who are terrorized by a killer gingerbread cookie. The killer dresses as pilgrim John Carver, which is an original slasher idea. The Autopsy of Jane Doe is led by a cast of Brian Cox and Emile Hirsch, who do an excellent job in this movie investigating the death of a mysterious dead girl. They work off each other so well and as they continue to learn more about their subject, their reactions to the strange occurrences that are happening is very entertaining. When a young boy is kidnapped and locked in a basement, amidst a string of child disappearances, he beings to receive calls from the killer's previous victims from a dead phone.

The Black Phone is an ominous movie that takes place in the late 70s and gives the tone that a serial killer is striking. Ethan Hawke plays a deeply disturbed killer known as "The Grabber" who drives around in a black van, kidnapping young boys, and bringing them down into his basement. Hawke is very creepy in his role and it's clear that his character has so much more going on than what is shown on-screen and the film keeps the audience guessing. While the movie isn't perfect, it's an entertaining thriller with a solid ending. Watch the movie and catch our review.
