For the week of April 9, 2021:
Act 1: Ehsan Mamakani planned his move to Toronto for a long time, but he didn’t expect that his life would take such a drastic turn just a few months after his arrival. As a Kurd from Iran, he has always thought of going abroad to study and work. And it is not the first time that his plans have to change suddenly.
This story by Pascal Filippi and Benjamin Morette is part of the Local Journalism Initiative, a project by the Community Radio Fund of Canada.
Act 2: we revisit our interview with Steph Rychlo at Canadian Students for Sensible Drug Policy from a few weeks back.
This episode of the show was produced by Sarah Hung, Kayla Higgins, Sofia De Guzman, Joel Kiggundu and Alex Ramsay, with files from Pascal Fillipi and Benjamin Morette. Our digital team is Rachelle De Forest and Brookyln Harker.
