This week I officially became a fire recruit and completed my first PAT practice sessions. In this episode, I break down what I learned, where I struggled, and what every future recruit should focus on before stepping into academy.
The biggest lessons so far:
🔥 Push-ups, core strength, and running matter more than you think.
🔥 Pace yourself. The PAT isn't won by sprinting—it's won by staying under control and managing your energy.
🔥 Preparation starts long before academy day. Organize your uniforms, shine your boots, and take responsibility for your own success.
I also share highlights from a weekend with Dance Dimensions, reflect on watching several students perform for the final time before heading off to college, and talk about what's coming next as I prepare for the PPAT and the start of fire academy.
With the PAT only days away from filming this episode, I'm asking for your prayers—for the recruits, instructors, firefighters, EMTs, and future first responders who are preparing to serve their communities.
Thank you for following the journey.
