Comparison is a thief of joy. But we're human, and so it's normal sometimes to compare ourselves to others. However, comparing yourself to others will only leave you feeling frustrated and anxious. Furthermore, it doesn't help in creating the life you want. It instead takes away irreplaceable time and energy that could have been better spent elsewhere. Here's the thing; there will always be someone more intelligent, attractive, or successful than you. The trick is understanding the unique value that you bring to the table. Remember that nothing and nobody is perfect; everything is special in its own way. So, instead of believing that the grass might be greener on the other side, try and nurture the grass that's on your side of the fence. After all, the grass is greenest where it's being properly cared for. Check out the full session notes: www.evingerleanworldwide.com/216. Join the movement: www.evingerleanworldwide.com/movement/

Nobody likes being in debt, yet many of us struggle with it most of our lives. Unfortunately, debt has a way of piling up faster than many realize. For example, most students don't take their student loans seriously until they hit unmanageable figures. If you're wrestling with student loans, mortgages, car loans, or credit cards, it can feel like there's no way to dig yourself out. But it's possible. People have done it, but it all starts with crafting your own get-out-of-debt plan. Add in some fundamental changes to your lifestyle, and you'll get out of debt faster than most people do.
Nonetheless, the thing to note here is that turning around your financial situation doesn't happen without a great deal of work. It requires thorough planning, commitment, and strong self-discipline. You can do it. Your future self is counting on you. Check out the full session notes: www.evingerleanworldwide.com/213. Join the movement: www.evingerleanworldwide.com/movement

Change is good. In fact, change is everywhere and happens every day. It can be as major as changing careers or as subtle as taking a different route to work or moving the furniture in your house. I know you already know this, but change is also inevitable and scary. And as humans, we are creatures of habit, so we don’t always like things that mess up our peace and security. But whether you like change or dislike what it does to your life, I believe we need to embrace it. It may impose better habits upon you, but it can also be stressful, destructive, and even career-ending. The good news is that you have control over how you anticipate and react to it. The even better news is that once you embrace it, you’ll adopt a whole new mindset. A mindset that will help you stop pursuing things that aren’t working, start doing things that could work better, and keep doing the things that work the best. “You are the sum of all your choices.” The first time I heard this statement all those many years ago, it didn’t sit well with me. I felt like, as a first-gen, life just happens to you, and there’s nothing you can do about it. But now that I think of it, I realize just how accurate the statement actually is. First, I am where I am today not because of the family I was born in, nor is it because of the friends around me every day. I am where I am because of all the choices I’ve made in life, both the good and the bad.
So, whenever things don’t go your way, do not look on the outside; revisit the choices you made on the inside. Always celebrate the good choices and resist the temptation to be too hard on yourself for the bad ones. I believe that life is only as beautiful as how you choose to make it.
