The First is Mine: Partners in the Kingdom (Part 1)
As we read in Proverbs 3:9, we encounter the profound command to honor the Lord with our possessions and the first fruits of our increase. This verse sets the stage for a deeper exploration of the significance of the firstborn and its connection to our partnership with God. Kicking off our series with this message, "The First is Mine."
In this message, we uncover the powerful truth that the firstborn must be sacrificed or redeemed. We discover that Jesus, as the Son of God, is God's tithe, the ultimate sacrificial offering. He is the only firstborn who was sacrificed for the unclean, symbolizing the redemption and salvation available to all of humanity.
Understanding the role of the firstborn becomes paramount as we recognize that it is the firstborn who redeems the rest. God desires not just the second best, but the first and only best. He invites us into a partnership where we give our utmost, honoring Him with our very first and finest.
Let us embrace the truth that God wants us to experience His best, and in return, He calls us to honor Him with the first and foremost in our lives. As partners in the Kingdom, we embark on a journey of sacrificial giving and wholehearted devotion, knowing that God's blessings and provision are abundant when we put Him first.
