This week, the TN1 Metro Nashville Coordinator Joey Maldonado, brings his background of church planting and youth ministry to talk about how to stay relationship-minded and serve the schools as First Priority. 

Joey Maldonado is the TN1 Metro Nashville Coordinator and has served in youth ministry with his wife for 18 years. Joey moved to Nashville from The Bronx, New York 7 years ago and has also spent a few years in Latin America doing youth ministry as well. Joey has focused on using performing arts as a main tool in his youth ministry to connect to young adults and build relationships. His current position with First Priority as Metro Nashville Coordinator allows him to assist the coaches and schools by nurturing relationships and strengthening existing clubs.

This week's podcast features Jared Shingleton, the director of Student Life Kids Camp. Jared Talks with Brad and Steve about what is happening and the conversations that are circling in this generation's student ministry.

Since Jared grew up as the son of a student camp and conference director, you could say camp ministry is in his blood. With that he brings both experience and a passion for producing and planning large scale ministry events–like camp. In addition to planning and taking his own students to camp every summer, Jared has served in various leadership roles at the parachurch level to help produce premiere church experiences.

Ryan McDermott, a team member of SLU (Student Leadership University), brings us a word of encouragement on leading this generation of students. Ryan talks about the "tide" of student leadership and what it means for this generation currently. 

Ryan McDerm0tt is the Next Generation Pastor for Christ Fellowship Church in West Palm Beach Florida where he has served for the last 13 years. Prior to this, he served in youth ministry as a youth pastor for 5 years. Ryan also is a team member of SLU (Student Leadership University).

Mark serves as the President of First Priority. He spends most of his day managing the organizational side of the ministry, including fundraising and board development. He was the initiator and director of First Priority Tri-States, the 2nd oldest FP chapter. Mark and his wife Michelle manage their own small business, therefore, Mark brings years of experience in business management to First Priority of America. Mark resides in eastern Kentucky with his wife, Michelle. Mark and Michelle have three children, Nathaniel & Mikaela (Robbins) Gray, Morgan, and Micah. They also have two grandchildren, Sadie B. and Beckham.
