I’m starting strong today fam, it's a big question time. What are you working on? Is it your business? Maybe social media? Those two are the things people ask me about the most and there’s way more in common between them than you might think.
The very first point in common is market research. Would you open up a business without knowing if people are even interested in what you have to offer? Information is the key here, the more you know the better.
If any of you are familiar with the Art of War you should know that knowing yourself, knowing the enemy and knowing the battlefield will help you become the winner. In this case the battlefield is the market, what do people want? The enemy are your competitors, what are they doing for clients to choose them? And of course you have to know yourself, is this the correct business for you? Or the correct niche for your social media?
Be smart, plan your moves ahead of time and be ready to pivot and make changes if things aren’t working out. But don’t give up easily, there will be difficult times, I know all about it, there was a time when I had to survive based entirely on granola bars and water, I couldn’t even have a complete meal for a few days.
I don’t want you to starve or go through rough patches if you can avoid it though. I had no mentors at that point in time so I made some mistakes and poor decisions, things changed once I started hanging out with the right people and learning from them.
