The First Three Years’ podcast is a 4-part series exploring the state of early years childcare in the UK today, focusing on those crucial first three years of life. We’ll be looking at the ripple effect that lack of access to childcare has on wider society, the toxic cultural norms we need to dismantle before we can improve the system, and finally, we’ll be casting our minds into the future to ask, what’s next for childcare?
Alex Jones is a journalist investigating the childcare system for The Stack World - despite being one of the biggest drivers of gender inequality, childcare is often overlooked when it comes to the fight for parity. We’re here to change that.
In episode one, we’ll be learning about the crippling costs of early years, about some of the failings in the system and we’ll be hearing from desperate parents.
