What if doing less actually made you a stronger leader?
You're the woman who knows how to get things done. When a problem comes up, you solve it. When someone struggles, you step in. And when things aren't going according to plan, you take control.
But what if constantly stepping in is keeping other people from stepping up—and leaving you exhausted in the process?
In this Thursday integration episode of The Wild Woman Within, Rachel Fitzpatrick introduces Wu Wei, the ancient Taoist philosophy of non-forcing, and explores how letting go of control can help you become a stronger leader, a more present partner, and a woman who finally has room to receive support.
Because letting go doesn't mean doing nothing. It means learning when to act—and when to stop forcing an outcome.
In this episode, you'll learn:
The Audacity: Be the North Star, Not the Traveler
This week, choose one situation where you've been carrying responsibility that someone else could own.
Then practice three things:
Pause. Before jumping in, ask yourself: Does this actually require my attention, or am I uncomfortable letting someone else handle it?
Guide. Establish the direction and expectations without controlling every step.
Release. Give someone else the opportunity to lead, and trust yourself to respond if something genuinely needs your attention.
You've already proven you can do hard things. Now give yourself permission to discover what happens when you don't have to do everything yourself.
Press play to learn how to release control without giving up your power—and become the North Star instead of the traveler.

You're the woman everyone counts on. But what happens when being capable turns into being responsible for absolutely everything?
You solve problems, lead teams, manage deadlines, and somehow keep your household moving. You're fiercely independent—and damn good at what you do.
But the same skills that made you successful might be the reason you're struggling with burnout, work-life balance, and letting other people support you.
What if becoming a more powerful woman doesn't mean doing more—but learning what you no longer need to carry?
In this episode of The Wild Woman Within, Rachel Fitzpatrick challenges three beliefs that keep successful women exhausted and explores how masculine and feminine energy can work together to help you lead boldly without controlling every outcome.

You've built the career, reached the milestones, and created a life you once dreamed about. So why does happiness always seem to be waiting on your next accomplishment?
When the project is finished. When the house is perfect. When you finally have more time.
Sound familiar?
For fiercely independent women, achievement can become more than something we do. It becomes proof of who we are. And somewhere along the way, we start believing we have to earn the right to enjoy our own lives.
In this first integration episode of The Wild Woman Within, Rachel Fitzpatrick introduces Santosha, the ancient yogic practice of contentment, and explores how to stop making happiness conditional on your next achievement.
In this episode, you'll discover:
The Audacity: Five Minutes of Enough
In the manifesto, we challenged you to stop asking what you need to do and start asking what you want to experience.
Now it's time to practice.
Give yourself five minutes today to enjoy something you've already worked hard to create. No improving it. No turning it into another task. Just experiencing it.
Because you don't have to hate where you are to give yourself permission to grow.
And the life you're working toward? Some of it's already here.
Press play and discover how to enjoy your life while you're still building it.

You've built the career, earned the money, and become the woman everyone depends on. So why doesn't your successful life feel as good as you thought it would?
You're fiercely independent. You handle the deadlines, the family, the responsibilities, and everything in between. But somewhere along the way, the life you worked so hard to build became the life you're simply trying to survive.
And maybe the hardest part isn't the exhaustion. It's realizing you don't quite recognize yourself anymore.
In this first episode of The Wild Woman Within, Rachel Fitzpatrick challenges the invisible expectations keeping successful women trapped in burnout, disconnection, and a life that looks better than it feels.
In this episode, you'll discover:
The Audacity: Stop asking what you need to do. Start asking what you want to experience.
You don't have to abandon your ambition, burn your life down, or become somebody else to feel fulfilled.
Maybe the wild woman within you is simply asking you to come home to yourself.
Press play. Your next chapter starts here.

What if the very thing that made you successful is the same thing keeping you stuck, exhausted, and burned out?
You've built a life around being the strong, independent woman who gets it all done. You lead the meetings, manage the deadlines, take care of everyone else, and somehow keep everything moving. But underneath all that success, you're exhausted. And no amount of time management, productivity hacks, or perfectly organized spreadsheets seems to fix it.
What if recovering from burnout isn't about learning to manage more, but finally realizing you were never meant to carry it all?
In this special episode, Rachel Fitzpatrick announces the evolution of The Fitzen Project into The Wild Woman Within, a podcast dedicated to helping high-achieving women recover from burnout, embrace feminine energy, and create true work-life balance without sacrificing their success.
Rachel shares why she's moving beyond conversations about mindfulness and alignment to explore the deeper beliefs, patterns, and expectations that keep ambitious women trapped in cycles of overworking, overgiving, and overcontrolling.
In this episode, you'll discover:
Press play to discover why you don't need to work harder or manage more to overcome burnout, and how The Wild Woman Within will help you redefine success, release control, and create a life you actually have time to enjoy.

Have you ever known something was complete—but kept trying to make it work because you’d already invested too much to walk away?
Sometimes changing direction doesn’t mean you failed. Sometimes the changes are the work.
If you’re used to approaching your career, relationships, goals, and even yourself like a project that can be optimized, it can be difficult to recognize when something has simply run its course. You keep strategizing, analyzing, fixing, and pushing—until burnout makes the decision for you.
In this episode, Rachel shares six lessons she learned after closing The FitZen Project and preparing to step into The Wild Woman Within. She explores what happens when you stop treating every change as evidence that something went wrong and start seeing your curiosity, intuition, and even your body as valuable sources of information.
You’ll discover:
Before you rush into your next relationship, job, project, identity, or chapter, play this episode to learn how to integrate what the last chapter taught you so you can move forward without rebuilding the same life under a different name.

What if the thing you keep trying to fix isn’t broken—what if it’s simply complete?
We’re taught to have the courage to begin, keep going, pivot, optimize, and refuse to quit. But when you’re a high-achieving woman who knows how to push through discomfort, it can be much harder to recognize when something has already accomplished exactly what it came into your life to do.
In this episode, Rachel takes the FitZen Project through one final project lifecycle—from initiation and planning to execution, endless change requests, and ultimately closure. After 18 months of experimenting, questioning, creating, healing, and becoming, she shares why closing this chapter isn’t failure. It’s the decision that makes space for what comes next.
In this episode, you’ll discover:

What If You Don’t Need the Whole Plan? How to Trust Your Next Step
What if you’re not stuck because you don’t know what to do?
What if you’re overthinking because you’re trying to figure out ten steps ahead when life is only asking you to take one?
For fiercely independent women who are used to being in control, uncertainty can feel unbearable. So we plan harder. Push harder. Optimize everything. And somewhere along the way, the constant pressure to figure it all out becomes another road straight to overwhelm and burnout.
After weeks of doing exactly that, I realized I was ignoring this week’s Microdose of Courage:
Take the next logical step.
In this short embodiment episode, we’re taking that Microdose out of our heads and into our bodies using ancient wisdom, feminine energy, and nervous system regulation to explore what it looks like to move forward without forcing clarity.
Through the Taoist concept of wu wei, a perfectly timed Justice tarot card, and an Emu spirit animal pull that made me laugh out loud, we’ll explore the difference between aligned action and trying to control an outcome because you’re uncomfortable with uncertainty.
We’ll talk about:
You don’t need an aerial view of your entire life.
You don't need to have your career, relationships, healing, purpose, and future perfectly mapped out before you're allowed to move.
Sometimes the most aligned thing you can do is put your feet underneath you, stop demanding certainty, and listen.
Microdose of Courage
Take the next logical step.
But before you take it, get quiet enough to know which step is actually yours.
Receive before you respond. Discern before you execute. Then move.
Because recovering from burnout isn't always about doing less.
Sometimes it's about recognizing where you're using force instead of alignment—and allowing your feminine energy to remind you that you don't have to control every step to trust yourself with the next one.
As Scott Lackey reminded us in this week’s conversation:
Walk the way, and the way will appear.

When did you stop being you?
Not all at once.
Maybe it happened every time you said yes when you wanted to say no. Every time you chose what was expected over what you actually wanted. Every time you handed another tiny piece of yourself to a job, a relationship, a role, or the version of you everyone else needed you to be.
Until one day, you look around at a life you helped build and wonder:
Where the hell did I go?
This episode is a little different. It’s the finale of my very first FitZen Book Club, where Lisa and I sat down with Scott Lackey, author of Wake Up to Die Again, after spending weeks reading, discussing, and questioning the hell out of his story.
And what started as a conversation about the book became something much bigger.
🍋 THE SQUEEZE
Scott describes what happens when we slowly give pieces of ourselves away—and why we often don’t realize how far we’ve wandered until we wake up feeling empty.
But finding your way back doesn’t require having your entire life figured out.
Sometimes, you just need to know which direction is yours.
🧃 THE JUICE
In this conversation, we get into:
And somewhere in the middle of all of it, we come back to one simple truth:
Walk the way, and the way will appear.
💊 MICRODOSE OF COURAGE
This week, don't figure out your entire life.
Ask yourself:
What direction do I know I want to move in?
Then take the next logical step.
One email. One conversation. One decision. One honest admission to yourself.
You don't need proof that you're going to end up exactly where you think you're going.
You just need enough courage to take the next step toward yourself.

Girl, What’s My Weakness? MEN!
You can lead meetings, manage crises, and handle almost everything on your own—but one man changes his tone, and suddenly you’re asking three friends what to do.
Girl…what’s your weakness?
In this episode, Rachel gets honest about the years she gave her power away in romantic relationships—outsourcing decisions, managing other people’s emotions, softening her boundaries, and confusing control with safety.
This isn’t an episode about blaming men. It’s about recognizing the moment you stop trusting yourself in love—and learning how to let the cards fall where they fall.
Inside this episode:
Your Microdose of Courage
Ask yourself:
“If I trusted my own judgment, what would I do?”
Then take one small action that honors your answer—before asking someone else what they think.
If you’re ready to lower your emotional armor, reconnect with your inner wisdom, and learn to receive support without losing your freedom, you’re in the right place.
Join Rachel’s free weekly email, The Weekly Change Request, for one honest reflection and one courageous action to help you come back to yourself.
