You worked your butt off to build a beautiful life. So why are you spending eight hours a day acting like it belongs to somebody else?
You're good at your job. You've earned your position, built your reputation, and worked damn hard for the career you have.
But somewhere along the way, being a good employee started meaning being constantly available. Every notification feels urgent. Every empty space on your calendar needs to be filled. And taking a legitimate break somehow feels like you're doing something wrong.
What if your job isn't demanding all that power over your life? What if you've been handing some of it over without realizing it?
Here's my confession: I flipping love corporate America.
I love my career, my paycheck, the opportunities I've earned, and the life my work makes possible. I'm not interested in quitting my job, abandoning my ambition, or pretending professional success doesn't matter.
But I had to learn something the hard way: Being accountable to your employer doesn't mean surrendering authority over yourself.
In this episode of The Wild Woman Within, we're challenging three beliefs that keep fiercely independent women trapped in the corporate cage—and exploring how to reclaim work-life balance without sacrificing the careers we've worked so hard to build.
Inside this episode, you'll discover:
Because here's the thing: You can love your career without making it your entire identity.
You can be ambitious without being permanently available.
And you can be damn good at your job without needing permission to enjoy your life.
The Audacity: Take Back 15 Minutes
This week, have the audacity to take 15 minutes of your workday and remember you're a human being—not a job description.
Take a walk. Enjoy your lunch. Call someone you love. Sit outside with your coffee.
Do something simply because you enjoy it.
Don't justify it as a productivity hack. Don't turn it into another item on your to-do list. And if guilt starts creeping in, get curious about why.
Use the legitimate breaks and flexibility available to you without neglecting your responsibilities.
Because the hardest part might not be finding 15 minutes.
It might be giving yourself permission to use them.
Press play if you're tired of living for Friday and ready to stop giving your job more power over your life than it deserves.

About The Wild Woman Within
The Wild Woman Within guides fiercely independent women navigate overwhelm, nervous system regulation, relationships, boundaries, guilt, perfectionism, people pleasing, anxious and avoidant attachment, and identity shifts—so they can stop wondering "Am I the problem?", create better energy management, find alignment, and build a life that feels as good as it looks.

When was the last time you walked into a room and noticed something beautiful instead of everything that needed to be done?
You've become an expert at spotting problems. The unfinished laundry. The emails waiting for answers. The next deadline. The seventeen things that need your attention before you've even had your morning coffee.
But somewhere along the way, you got so good at managing your life that you forgot to actually experience it.
And what if that's part of why you're so damn exhausted?
In this Thursday integration episode of The Wild Woman Within, we're exploring The Art of Noticing, a simple mindfulness practice inspired by the ancient Stoic wisdom of Marcus Aurelius.
Because romanticizing your life isn't about creating a picture-perfect existence. It's about becoming present enough to recognize what's beautiful—even when everything else isn't.
In this episode, you'll discover:
The Audacity: Have the audacity to fall in love with your life—not because every moment is beautiful, but because you're willing to notice the beauty in the moments you have.
Your 24-Hour Integration Practice: Find three ordinary moments and give them your attention. Notice what you can see, hear, feel, smell, or taste. Then ask yourself one question:
What's beautiful about this moment?
And if the answer is nothing? That's okay, too.
This isn't another assignment to complete perfectly. It's an invitation to stop performing, stop optimizing, and experience the life you're already living.
Your life can be hard. And your life can be beautiful. Both things can be true.
Press play and practice noticing what you've been too busy to see.

What if the beautiful life you're waiting for is already happening—but you're too busy waiting for someone else's permission to enjoy it?
You're damn good at managing everything. Your career, your responsibilities, everyone else's needs. But somewhere between checking off your to-do list and planning for the future, have you forgotten how to enjoy the life you're working so hard to build?
Maybe you're waiting for the right relationship, the next promotion, more money, or the perfect circumstances before you finally allow yourself to experience joy. Or maybe you've spent years carrying shame from your past, convincing yourself that you have to become someone better before you're worthy of something beautiful.
You don't have to earn the right to enjoy your own damn life.
In this deeply personal episode of The Wild Woman Within, Rachel Fitzpatrick shares how buying herself flowers, confronting 12 years of shame, and attending a yoga festival alone transformed her relationship with herself. From challenging society's expectations of independent women to discovering that freedom and love can coexist, Rachel explores what it really means to romanticize your life beyond the picture-perfect social media aesthetic.
In this episode, you'll discover:
The Audacity: Have the audacity to romanticize your life—even if you're the only one who cares.
Ready to stop waiting for your life to begin? Press play to discover how to romanticize the life you have, reclaim your self-worth, and give yourself permission to live wildly free—right here, right now.

What if doing less actually made you a stronger leader?
You're the woman who knows how to get things done. When a problem comes up, you solve it. When someone struggles, you step in. And when things aren't going according to plan, you take control.
But what if constantly stepping in is keeping other people from stepping up—and leaving you exhausted in the process?
In this Thursday integration episode of The Wild Woman Within, Rachel Fitzpatrick introduces Wu Wei, the ancient Taoist philosophy of non-forcing, and explores how letting go of control can help you become a stronger leader, a more present partner, and a woman who finally has room to receive support.
Because letting go doesn't mean doing nothing. It means learning when to act—and when to stop forcing an outcome.
In this episode, you'll learn:
The Audacity: Be the North Star, Not the Traveler
This week, choose one situation where you've been carrying responsibility that someone else could own.
Then practice three things:
Pause. Before jumping in, ask yourself: Does this actually require my attention, or am I uncomfortable letting someone else handle it?
Guide. Establish the direction and expectations without controlling every step.
Release. Give someone else the opportunity to lead, and trust yourself to respond if something genuinely needs your attention.
You've already proven you can do hard things. Now give yourself permission to discover what happens when you don't have to do everything yourself.
Press play to learn how to release control without giving up your power—and become the North Star instead of the traveler.

You're the woman everyone counts on. But what happens when being capable turns into being responsible for absolutely everything?
You solve problems, lead teams, manage deadlines, and somehow keep your household moving. You're fiercely independent—and damn good at what you do.
But the same skills that made you successful might be the reason you're struggling with burnout, work-life balance, and letting other people support you.
What if becoming a more powerful woman doesn't mean doing more—but learning what you no longer need to carry?
In this episode of The Wild Woman Within, Rachel Fitzpatrick challenges three beliefs that keep successful women exhausted and explores how masculine and feminine energy can work together to help you lead boldly without controlling every outcome.

You've built the career, reached the milestones, and created a life you once dreamed about. So why does happiness always seem to be waiting on your next accomplishment?
When the project is finished. When the house is perfect. When you finally have more time.
Sound familiar?
For fiercely independent women, achievement can become more than something we do. It becomes proof of who we are. And somewhere along the way, we start believing we have to earn the right to enjoy our own lives.
In this first integration episode of The Wild Woman Within, Rachel Fitzpatrick introduces Santosha, the ancient yogic practice of contentment, and explores how to stop making happiness conditional on your next achievement.
In this episode, you'll discover:
The Audacity: Five Minutes of Enough
In the manifesto, we challenged you to stop asking what you need to do and start asking what you want to experience.
Now it's time to practice.
Give yourself five minutes today to enjoy something you've already worked hard to create. No improving it. No turning it into another task. Just experiencing it.
Because you don't have to hate where you are to give yourself permission to grow.
And the life you're working toward? Some of it's already here.
Press play and discover how to enjoy your life while you're still building it.

You've built the career, earned the money, and become the woman everyone depends on. So why doesn't your successful life feel as good as you thought it would?
You're fiercely independent. You handle the deadlines, the family, the responsibilities, and everything in between. But somewhere along the way, the life you worked so hard to build became the life you're simply trying to survive.
And maybe the hardest part isn't the exhaustion. It's realizing you don't quite recognize yourself anymore.
In this first episode of The Wild Woman Within, Rachel Fitzpatrick challenges the invisible expectations keeping successful women trapped in burnout, disconnection, and a life that looks better than it feels.
In this episode, you'll discover:
The Audacity: Stop asking what you need to do. Start asking what you want to experience.
You don't have to abandon your ambition, burn your life down, or become somebody else to feel fulfilled.
Maybe the wild woman within you is simply asking you to come home to yourself.
Press play. Your next chapter starts here.

What if the very thing that made you successful is the same thing keeping you stuck, exhausted, and burned out?
You've built a life around being the strong, independent woman who gets it all done. You lead the meetings, manage the deadlines, take care of everyone else, and somehow keep everything moving. But underneath all that success, you're exhausted. And no amount of time management, productivity hacks, or perfectly organized spreadsheets seems to fix it.
What if recovering from burnout isn't about learning to manage more, but finally realizing you were never meant to carry it all?
In this special episode, Rachel Fitzpatrick announces the evolution of The Fitzen Project into The Wild Woman Within, a podcast dedicated to helping high-achieving women recover from burnout, embrace feminine energy, and create true work-life balance without sacrificing their success.
Rachel shares why she's moving beyond conversations about mindfulness and alignment to explore the deeper beliefs, patterns, and expectations that keep ambitious women trapped in cycles of overworking, overgiving, and overcontrolling.
In this episode, you'll discover:
Press play to discover why you don't need to work harder or manage more to overcome burnout, and how The Wild Woman Within will help you redefine success, release control, and create a life you actually have time to enjoy.

Have you ever known something was complete—but kept trying to make it work because you’d already invested too much to walk away?
Sometimes changing direction doesn’t mean you failed. Sometimes the changes are the work.
If you’re used to approaching your career, relationships, goals, and even yourself like a project that can be optimized, it can be difficult to recognize when something has simply run its course. You keep strategizing, analyzing, fixing, and pushing—until burnout makes the decision for you.
In this episode, Rachel shares six lessons she learned after closing The FitZen Project and preparing to step into The Wild Woman Within. She explores what happens when you stop treating every change as evidence that something went wrong and start seeing your curiosity, intuition, and even your body as valuable sources of information.

What if the thing you keep trying to fix isn’t broken—what if it’s simply complete?
We’re taught to have the courage to begin, keep going, pivot, optimize, and refuse to quit. But when you’re a high-achieving woman who knows how to push through discomfort, it can be much harder to recognize when something has already accomplished exactly what it came into your life to do.
In this episode, Rachel takes the FitZen Project through one final project lifecycle—from initiation and planning to execution, endless change requests, and ultimately closure. After 18 months of experimenting, questioning, creating, healing, and becoming, she shares why closing this chapter isn’t failure. It’s the decision that makes space for what comes next.
