Evangelism might be the single most crucial work of the local church that determines its existence into the next generation. The Holy Spirit gives the ability to reach, love, and gather the lost sons and daughters of God. Today, we discuss the Gift of the Evangelist and how this gift can bring new life into the local church.

Connection is an essential part of the process of mentoring others. It is critical if you want to influence people in a positive way. Making connections happen will require great effort and a lot of work. Making connections will involve communication skills, a desire to help people grow and change, and a sense of personal mission or purpose.

Leadership requires us to be decisive and clear on our objectives, vision, and values. So, often as leaders we tend to focus on our own story, motivations and ambitions, but how well do you understand people? A narrow vision of life distances others and hinders relationships, but when we learn to understand people, we create trust and a positive, collaborative environment that leads to their success and the success of our team. How can we understand people, better?

Are you able to see what others cannot see? Can you help people identify their destination? Are you skilled at helping people find a pathway forward? Becoming people of influence means we must develop into better navigators. John Maxwell describes the person of influence as a “Navigator.” As leaders, we should be looking into the future for our teammates and helping them pilot problems with more awareness. As our experiences grow, we can help those predict certain outcomes for our people before they become emergencies.
