Join Joe on this deep-dive into all things HEAT -- how the story came to be, what events inspired Mann to make this masterpiece, and where the story will go from here for the upcoming HEAT 2 soon-to-be-announced!

There is a disturbance in the Force. Unseen, Sith-like powers operate in the shadows, fomenting hatred, misogyny, and racism targeting anything produced by the Star Wars franchise.

As Disney+'s latest Star Wars content to hit the small screen -- The Acolyte -- winds down its first season, despite its glowing reviews from critics, the series has earned the unfortunate distinction of receiving the lowest viewer score in its 50-year franchise history. (And that's saying something considering how risible the infamous Star Wars Holiday Special is).

The evidence is clear -- thousands of users have review-bombed it to send a clear and divisive message to Disney and the Star Wars franchise that goes above and beyond the efforts of "Gatekeeping" fans.

Join Joe as he explains how far back this has been going on for the Star Wars franchise, who some of the main culprits are behind it, what some cast members have experienced, and why it's getting worse.

Are "fans" turning to the Dark Side? Are "fans" letting their hatred flow through them? Tune in to hear Joe offer his analysis.

Satire is one of the most effective tools for political and cultural commentary -- and one of the most cherished forms of comedic expression in Western societies. Used appropriately, satire can (as Shakespeare once said) "hold the mirror up to nature" -- and be a catalyst for greater discussion and broader understanding.

Or it can make you mad. Really mad.

Season 4 of Amazon Prime's breakout television show THE BOYS is finally being recognized by a certain demographic of their audience for what it's always been: political satire aimed at a specific ideology -- and it sure has made people mad.

Join Joe as he breaks down what all the fuss is about, why the strong reaction is hypocritical and why satire still matters in our culture.

Joe also breaks down his top 10 films (so far) in a mid-year check-in for 2024...and why the best may be yet to come to cinemas!

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the domestic box office returns are already down 24% from last year and 42% down from 2019, the last normal year before the COVID-19 pandemic when cinemas closed nationwide. What gives?

Join Joe as he breaks down why 2024 is an unusual year, what effect events of 2023 had on the box office in 2024, and several other factors that will continue to be a challenge to pack cinemas across the country. Is there any hope? Will things improve? Is this the beginning of the end for cinema as we know it? Find out Joe's take on this deep dive into the crux of the problem in this latest Fixate & Binge podcast!
