The Flexican

From the moment The Flexican stepped behind the decks, the Courtyard felt fully switched on.

Smiles everywhere, hands in the air, and the kind of atmosphere you wish you could bottle up and take home.

Big love to DJ Assault!
What an honour to share the stage.
I played 2 hours of nonstop booty classics 🍑🔥
Recorded 25th July 2025 at Bret Amsterdam

Just a few hours before set time I had no idea what my set would be like. I brought many tracks, some of my own new productions, classics and a lot of new stuff. I was aware of my set being during the last night of the festival.

After three full days, that means people are nourished with so much music and different genres. I really wanted to create a moment of nostalgia and emotion. We definitely got there together! Me by mixing fave classics with big twists & rhythms and by blending genres as I love to.

I found a way to tell a story that represents: The Flexican, Young Flex Mid-Life Flex and the New Flex. So many people asked me during Lowlands: ‘What are you gonna play? Is it different than the Old Flex?’ I only thought: ‘I have no idea what will happen in the moment.’ This is how I am used to DJ, improvising with the crowd. I can think of many things beforehand, but the moment I am behind the decks it is new, fresh, surprising and I feel what is needed for the energy.

Truly enjoyed every second of it, with a fully packed crowd and my favourite people in the booth. You all made these two hours a highlight ❤️‍🔥
