Saint Ottilia was born blind, but had her sight restored upon being baptized. Some tales state that a mountain opened beneath her, to hide her from pursuers, leaving a well in the place where the saint stood. Several versions of her life story are presented, along with some additional information on Saint Odile, who is sometimes conflated with Saint Ottilia.
