Viviana Guzman interviews Ariana Piknjač. Ariana Flute, as she is known on Instagram, was born in 1995 and raised in Sydney, Australia. Since she comes from a musical family, her musical story began when I was aged just 3 years and 9 months starting with piano lessons. She is currently studying two fields of study at the Music Academy in Sarajevo with the highest grades out of 23 subjects overall: Flute Performance in the class of prof. Sakib Laèeviæ and Music Theory and Education. She has performed at various concerts in different countries and has worked with various music professors from Austria, Serbia, Australia, Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, Russia and Switzerland. She honorarily play with the Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra occasionally and has participated in Federal music competitions in the disciplines of flute, choir and chamber music being awarded first prizes.

Viviana Guzman interviews Herman van Kogelenberg. He is the Principal Flute of the Munich Philharmonic, is a dutch flute player based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Whilst studying, Herman was appointed Principal Flute with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Liège in 1999. He resigned from the orchestra to join the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam from 2003 until 2010. An invitation by the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and their musical director Yannick Nézet-Séguin to become their principal flute led to Rotterdam in 2010, and in September 2013 he was appointed principal flutist of the Münchner Philharmoniker under Lorin Maazel. With the Münchner Philharmoniker he appeared as a soloist in 2016 and 2018. Since 2017 he is also solo flutist of Orchestra Mozart, founded by Claudio Abbado.

Viviana Guzman interviews Mario Caroli. At the age of 22, Italian born, Mario Caroli was awarded "Kranichsteiner Musikpreis" at Darmstadt, which was his debut in the international stage. Since then he has been invited to a number of music festivals mostly in Europe, as an indispensable artist in contemporary music scenes. He has been accepted by many orchestras so far and among the conductors that he collaborated with, there are Pierre Boulez, Peter Eotvos, Heinz Holliger, Oswald Sallaberger, Hiroshi Wakasugi, Jonathan Webb, Kazushi Ono. Maurizio Pollini and Emmanuel Pahud recognized him as a "great artist" and the composer Salvatore Sciarrino admired him as a "Paganini of the flute". Currently, Mario Caroli teaches at the Hochschule für Musik in Freiburg and enjoys a wonderful international career.
