A merchant's son squanders his wealth but receives a magical flying trunk. He uses it to fly to Turkey, where he meets a beautiful princess confined to a castle due to a prophecy. He impresses her by claiming to be a Turkish god and tells her captivating stories. To win her hand, he must tell her parents a moral and comical tale. He succeeds with a story that brings kitchen objects to life, winning the princess's hand in marriage. However, during the wedding celebrations, the flying trunk is accidentally burned, leaving him unable to return to his princess.
