Some of the best debates and discussions take place over topics that don't always have the most obvious answer. Take the chicken first or egg first example, we could potential fight over it for hours without an outcome. But that is (thankfully) not what we spoke about on the podcast this episode rather, the topic of conversation was far more interesting and relevant, and revolved around whether it was possible for women and men to be paid equally in football and if yes, what would it take?
Tune in for our first debate on the Football Overtime Podcast as Vishnu, Varun and Aanya (finally) come together for the first time in season 3 as the two sides battle it out for their view on the topic till the very end.
May the best team win!

They all called it the 'season of transition', one in which only the 'real' Barca fans would survive. And to be honest, it lived up to its name, they were without their GOAT, Leo Messi, for the first time in almost 17 years, they were buried under a huge financial problem and didn't have a well-set manager to regroup the team.
Tune in as Vishnu, Varun and our guest speaker, Atman unravel the serval roadblocks and a fading legacy that Barcelona faced during this past season and what we could have in store for the next one. Can we expect to see them lift a few trophies or will the Barca fans have to wait it out for even longer?

After a crazy season filled with different emotions, four of Aanya’s friends from The Valley School come together to review their favorite clubs campaign.
We talk about the lack of a holding midfielder, consistent management and Ronaldo’s impact on Manchester United’s tactical play. In contrast to the disappointment, we chat about Real Madrid's standout performance this season, along with Benzema’s heroics. Lastly, Bayern’s 10th consecutive Bundesliga win was inevitable, although Lewandowski leaving can turn the tables.
Tune in for an episode that goes down memory lane to get an insight on this humdinger of a season:)

Hello again! A long time it has been but we are back! And this is the first preseason episode of an exciting new season 3!
As of just over a week ago Liverpool could boast of the possibility of a quadruple and etch their name into the history books as one of the best teams ever.
However things didn’t really go their way and now they have the successes at Wembley to look back on. This meant that Real Madrid won a record-extending 14th UCL title and Manchester City lifted their 4th PL title in 5 years to Vishnu’s great excitement.

It isn't easy to fire managers, well atleast the ones that seem to have their names etched in the history of the club. For Barca though there was not much to consider when it had to make a decision about whether to continue Koeman's tenure at Camp Nou. He had struggled to be consistent and they stood at a lowly 9th position on the table after 12 games.
Who was his replacement going to be was the real question. And who else but the man, the myth, the legend - Xavi decides to take the reins when they need him most. We wish him the best of luck at his managerial post during these trying time at Barca.
However, on the other hand in England after being road rolled by Liverpool and humbled by Man City, Manchester United are still coming to terms with the fact that it might be time for a new manager.
Lastly, we discuss about the ballon d'or - it's prestige, the issues it faces and of course, the potential winners.

Barça. The team the world of football once wanted to resemble. The team the world looked up to. Just over a decade later is now a shadow of it's past. Defeats, Heartbreaks, Humiliation, losing your Club legend, Debts, Barça fans have seen it all Recent events at the club have made us hang on to very little as Barca fans. But there's always hope. Hope for better results. Hope for victories. Hope for Trophies. Hope for Barça!
Varun speaks in this one off solo podcast about his club’s fortune and expresses his blues but hoping for a better future.

It feels like just yesterday Kai Havertz slotted the decisive goal against Manchester City that saw Chelsea be crowned champions of Europe. However, it's been three and a half months and the champions league made its dramatic return this week. It was a goalfest at the 'Empty-had' stadium where Man City slotted in six goals. While Vishnu had lots to be happy about it was the same old story in the Barcelona camp. Playing at home but without key players due to injury Bayern Munich eased past Barca who still seem to have not come to terms with Messi's departure.
The highlight of this week's off-field drama was the release of FIFA 22 player ratings. As always there were some suprises and absurd facts but there was nothing but a smile on Varun's face when we discussed how Messi continues to remain the highest overall rated player.
