Today on The Forbidden Fruit we morn and celebrate the life of Robin Williams along with podcast Funny to the Moon. We will also commemorate the birthday of Robert Green Ingersoll.

This episode of The Forbidden Fruit has the pleasure of welcoming the return of Mr. Darrel Ray ED.D,  the author of books "The God Virus:How Religion Effects our Lives and Culture", and "Sex & God: How Religion Distorts Sexuality", publisher of the survey, "Sex and Secularism", and founder of "Recovering Religionist" a self help group for those leaving their religious indoctrination.

I first heard Dr. Ray on the internet radio show, "The Thinking Atheist". Since I've read his book "The God Virus". We asked Dr. Ray to come on the show to talk about his books and how religion does in fact, effects our lives and culture and  sexuality. I'm very excited to have this opportunity to talk with Dr. Ray. You won't want to miss this episode.

Over the weekend, Atheist TV aired a short documentary about the horrors of The Good News Club and how it indoctrinates small children with the lie of religion. They teach them the killings of God and fiery furnace of Hell and to proselytize to their little friends or whomver they run across. Is this a cruel act of brainwashing defenseless children? What do you think? In the documentary, "Jesus Camp, they train them to speak in tongue and that if Harry Potter were real, he would have been put to death in the bible. This is scary and needs to be addressed ASAP.

This installment of The Forbidden Fruit, we're gonna to celebrate the launch of Atheist TV. The invitation-only launch party took place from 6-8 pm ET in Manhattan. Well-known TV producers and personalities, atheist activists and public speakers, video content producers for the channel, and Atheist TV and American Atheists sponsors and donors were in attendance. The celebration and launch featured a speech by President David Silverman and a countdown to the first broadcast at 7 pm, at which time a welcome video starring several well-known atheists and science educators aired.

Our very own Jenn Taylor was there and will be here to give her report on how it it was! This should prove to be  another DON'T MISS episode of The Fruit!

This installment of The Forbidden Fruit will look into the systemic problem of racial profiling and unnecessary force used by police. A group that is suppose to serve and protect is becoming no more than a gang of organized violence, targeting mostly blacks in America. This episode comes in the light of the senseless murder of Eric Garner, but this kinda stuff isn't new, at least not to black folks. Police violence caught on tape can go back as far as Rodney King's chocking beating in California. Nothing has change since Richard Pryor spoke of Police choke holds in his 1979 comedy routine. What do we, as a people, do to combat this craziness? When you go out, who do you have to look out for more, the muggers and rapist or your boys in blue?

It's easier to force a camel through the eye of a needle than to get a Christian to debate their God on the airwaves!

This installment of The Forbidden Fruit will ask the questions, "Why do some Christians have so much anger for Ex-Christians?" It's one factor that makes it so hard for to leave the church. It's amazing how people tthat you once considered your friends and chuch family could be so hostile toward you when you question the existance of God. Don't get me wrong, not all Christians are like this.
